SSCK Leader Appoints Nine-Member Committee to Deepen Cooperation with Puntland State of Somalia

The committee appointed by Abdulkadir Aw Ali work on “will work on cooperation, partnership and solidarity between Puntland State and the SSCK administration.”

Las Anod (PP News Desk) — The leader of the Sool, Sanaag, Cayn, and Khaatumo (SSCK) interim administration, Abdulqadir Aw Ali (Firdhiye), has appointed a nine-member committee to hold talks with the government of Puntland State of Somalia. “The committee will work on cooperation, partnership and solidarity between Puntland State and the SSCK administration,” reads a press release from the SSCK communications office.

Yesterday, the SSCK Parliament commended the Federal Government for including the administration in consultations on proposed constitutional amendments but urged it to broaden the consultations and seek input from both Puntland State and Jubaland.

Puntland State of Somalia supported the Las Anod declaration on 6 February 2023 and the establishment of the SSCK interim administration. The committee members appointed by SSCK leadership are as follows:
