Mogadishu (HOL) — Somalia has launched an ambitious 50,000-home residential project in Mogadishu's Kaaraan district to provide new housing and stimulate economic growth in the coastal capital. President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud laid the foundation stone for the Xeebta-Luulka ("Pearl Beach") project earlier this week, marking the start of a major urban development in Mogadishu's Kaaraan district.
