^^^Adeer the Garad had more than 70 children in his life time, and today they are a huge family, thus spare us the nonsense, the British defeated him and no one else.

well it's true some desends of his grandchildren and children have assembled the seychelian identity and are married to seychelians just go and check makhiri websites you will see it, thus we can safely say they mostly lost their identity. ;)

:D

Sacad D, the point is these community never ceased to produce powerful garaads :D

Qhalib, it does not matter where he was shot at, he was a powerful garaad who was defeated by his foe (British) just like the Napoleon of france . the other nobles of the east had met similar fate as well. Boqorkii xattaa waagaa waana nalaka xiray :D

it was a familiar story in the colonial era: the aristocracy fell, while lower class rose to prominence :D

^Waakaa dhaqanka saxda ee reerka duriyadda daba iyo inay har iyo jeer ka hadlaan wax aan afkaygu qabanin :D Qhalib is a pefect example there

GD true not mentioning even that the Saldanda reer Maakhir is one of the oldest in Somalia something the obscene secessionists wouldn't know anyway because they're not familiar with such grand history.

Xiinfanin, well atleast we can say cali shire had better fate then atleast Boqor Cusman the 1 that was toppled from the empire with the work of Haji Muse Farah ( Ina Gare ) and the italians the hobyons were finally free we can atleast say Haji Muse Farah ( Ina Gare ) has done good and justice for some communities that we will forever be remembered with , we should build statues in Hobyo for Ina Gare ;) .

Xaji XunJuf , did you also knew Ina Gare was the nephew of ina Cali Shire lol? they also seemed to be related.

Remember when the british has asked Ina Gare to get and arrest ina cali shire first wu ka xiishoonayey abtigisa he told him iis diib ( surrender ) yourself and then when he tried to escape then that is when he was catched.

The British could have never catched Cali Shire without the help of Ina Gare since he knew sanaag region very well and had many supporters among him.

Suldan Mohamoud Ali Shirre's dynasty still exists today, I have never heard of anyone from Hargaysa even comparable in stature to the late kings of the North East and the Sayid..

Hey but we have ina Gare, and NGOONGE, no doubt.. :D

Xiinfanin, they both worked with the british , laakinse that is not the point the point is what legacy did they leave behind? well Ina Gare was known for raiding opposition groups and liberating Hobyo that was his part of great legacy were's Cali Shire spent his last days jailed in seychelese all alone and sad.
