So now Bosaso is stealing the names of Hargeysa hey- Hargeysa has a xaafad called Laanta Hawada, because it's top of the hill and long baxarasaaf trees grow there and therefore bringing good air.Does Bosaso has those or they copied the name? What will be next? Bosaso naming one of its areas Dunbuluq.

 

Anyways, this is very sour situation indeed, anytime someone who is working for the sake of Allah gets arrested it's not so good. Again those so called Police don't know what they are doing, they are bunch of worthless Khat chewing animals.

 

I will wait for the development of the story before I comment furthermore.

Xamar wax dhaammo waa la waayay, The only place where residents can call in the talk show programs and grill the so called tribal leaders and warlords alike without fear of retribution or arrests, a place where you can practice your religion, demonstrate as long as you want, as loud as you want. There are downsides to lack of central authority but really bearable downsides if you look at some situations where people are whimsically arrested for God knows what or where some somalis are deported to their enemies in a wholesale fashion.

xoogsade would have believe that xamar is an oasis of tranquility and a beacon of hope in a country that is lost.The freedom of speech and demonstration my brother, no doubt happen in xamar but tell me do these people ever demonstrate about isbaaro. It's one thing demonstrating about cartoons many miles away but we are blinded by 101 isbaros in our backyard.Yeah i get it, you can demonstrate as long as its not against my isbaros, very hypocritical.

Fariid, Not only did some demosntrate against isbaaro, but they physically removed some from their neighbourhoods and reclaimed their dignity. That was in the news if you cared to follow anyway.

 

Saxib, many of you focus and are actually obsessed with a government without thinking who is going to lead the institutions of government. If you look at who wants to rule us, or who currently rules in certain areas of the country, you find the same faces who destroyed our national government, contributed much to somali people's mistrust and are the product of the old school who thought governments are means to enrich yourself and your immidiate cousins. There is no single patirotic man out there in somali politics, each one of them has a personal stake in what is going on and wants to be at the top or get a fair share of the pie for him to be happy and co-operating.

 

Anyway, Muqdisho has changed from what it was in the early 1990s and is experiencing a positive change. Building the community from the bottom up is what is going on over there. Many went back to teach in its universities and schools. We do have many intellectuals. Just because it lacks central government doesn't mean other regions boast about great governance. There is room for progress in every somali region.

 

PS: It is a big deal if people can or can't demonstrate against or for anything they want.
