Xaaji Xunjuf Posted October 16 Fighting erupts in Badhan as Puntland and Maakhir forces clash over territory Monday October 14, 2024 A group of people gathers outside Rahma (Raxma) Hospital in Badhan, Sanaag region. SUBMITTED Garowe (HOL) — A brief clash broke out this morning between Puntland forces and troops from Maakhir State in Badhan, Sanaag region, intensifying a standoff that has been in place since Sunday. Both sides remain entrenched in their positions just outside the district, with no reports of major casualties. The confrontation occurred when Puntland forces attempted to block Maakhir State politicians, who had been touring the Sanaag region, from entering Badhan. The visit follows growing friction between the two administrations as Maakhir State seeks to assert its presence in the area. Although the clash did not result in immediate casualties, the continued military buildup on both sides points to a potentially dangerous escalation. The situation remains fluid, with local sources expressing concerns about a larger conflict if the standoff continues unresolved. Abdirahman Dhoore, the leader of Maakhir State and a former Puntland MP, has remained defiant, stating that they will not be prevented from accessing any part of the Sanaag region. “We have the necessary forces to defend our cause and will continue to strengthen our administration,” Dhoore declared. Dhoore, expelled from Puntland’s parliament in 2020 for inciting unrest, has accused Puntland’s leadership of orchestrating his removal from office. He was recently elected Maakhir State’s leader during a political meeting in Mogadishu, which further fueled tensions with Puntland’s central administration. The situation remains tense as diplomatic efforts to defuse the crisis have yet to materialize.

Illyria Posted October 17 Fair and balanced just like Fox news, eh? This shite is beyond belief. I only consider Wardheer news & Daljir as being reliable, and the only thing I hear of Hiran Online is that it is pro secessionist mouth piece. The suqar must have worked on them. Xaaji Xunjuf Posted October 17 Hiiraan online is pretty balanced and neutral they call Somaliland Somaliland they call khatumo khatumo . They call dowlada federalka dowlada federalka. They call puntland puntland . Are u now claiming there was no incident in eastern sanaag . Wardheernews is not a Somali website it’s a kuumbo website founded by faisal rooble and other ultra rightwing kuumbowists . as for maakhir I think reer maakhir are now after self determination and they wish to free themselves from the pirate cousins . Who have done little for them their people the suldan are now all inboard for this maakhir project this is good for the region for Somalia and it’s also good for Somaliland . Because the natural order of thins will be re established. Suldaan siciid wa Maakhir sultan of Somaliland . As his father and grand father were as well this make sure the people of maakhir will be re connected with their main country of Somaliland
Illyria Posted October 17 So, your barometer for neutrality and balance is extrapolated from names in use. If anything, Hiran Online is clanesque, HAG mouth piece only publicising Irir-centirc propaganda, but then again, you already know that, which is the reason you are hyping it up. We haven not forgotten the lies and rubbish it used to publish in the early 2000s, later promoting ICU, had been tacitly pro al Shabab, and the list goes on. Besides, do you think some dole-collecting tramp in Canada knows more about what is happening in our territories than we do. What a dimwit. By the way, owners of both Wardheer News and Daljir are reer Hargeysa.
Xaaji Xunjuf Posted October 17 The Somali people opposed majority of its people opposed the Ethiopian invasion no matter what clan there were enough from the big foot community and even some other d block clan opposed Ethiopia remember sekeriye icu member and even our resident che was opposed to the Ethiopia invasions it isn’t just black and white it is disengenous from ur part to call Hiiraan online clannish when they shared the same sentiment with the vast majority of Somalis it was just ur subclans and few other individuals from the unuka clan who were propagating the lies of the tfg the tigrayan funded government the majority of the unuka clan opposed even cabdilahi yusuf and his tfg . Only a handful warlords from their clan such as Mohammed Dhere and salaad cali jeele and Geedi were supporting the tfg . As for the owners of daljir and wardheernews being reer hargeisa is just absurd to say ,being born in hargeisa doesn’t mean ur reer hargeisa what kind of mindset is this. Illyria Posted October 17 So out of your vast wisdom, and warped logic, the people who took arms against the TFG on the ground of patriotism and defending the nation against its number one enemy, who were later celebrating and embracing the presence of the same enemy in Xamar insofar as fondly referring to them as their brethren, and are now claiming the FGS as SOLELY their own, were right back then? Or are you suggesting they were the devil in disguise all along sputtering ill-formed froth for merry more? If by virtue of birth one is not reer Hregeysa, who is reer Hargeysa? You, son of saancadaale from the sticks with your pierced balls in tow?
Xaaji Xunjuf Posted October 17 I am the original Ajji and the rightful owner of Ceelka Hargeisa land Lord of Hargeisa , a legacy that my ancestors have established for centuries. Let us put semantics aside, not everyone born in Hargeisa can claim to be truly from Hargeisa. When we speak of the indigenous people of this city, there are only a select few who can genuinely trace their heritage back to Hargeisa. Simply being born here does not make one a true Hargeysaawi just because ur mother gave birth in Hargeisa u still have no say over Hargeisa or can claim it . By that logic, we might as well declare that Cadde Muuse is from Marka, Farmaajo from Mogadishu, and Abdirashid Ali Sharmarke from Hobyo, simply due to the places of their birth. Now, to move forward: from the very beginning, your uncle, Cabdillahi Yusuf ama Colonel Yey habaar qabihi Mudug , sought to bring Ethiopian troops into Somalia to safeguard his little fiefdom known as the Tigrayan funded Government (TFG). It was on the backs of Tigrayan tanks that Cabdillahi Yusuf was brought from Jowhar to Mogadishu, escorted into Villa Wardhiigley by general gabre who then slapped him there . To this day, the Ethiopian Embassy remains entrenched within the same bunker, and neither Fiqi nor his associates have managed to extricate them. For what it’s worth, the majority of Ethiopian troops withdrew from Somalia in 2009, at which point a new command was formed. The ICU (Islamic Courts Union) wing that relocated to Djibouti eventually merged with the TFG. Figures such as Sheikh Dalxiis, Sekeriye, and others defected as the ARS group, while the Muqawama resistance splintered, leading to the rise of Al-Shabaab. Xisbal Xasuuq allied itself with Al-Shabaab, Dahir aweys groups, and the once unified ICU fractured into two factions. Contrary to common perception, the TFG under Sheikh Dalxiis did not entirely depend on the presence of Ethiopian forces in Somalia. Djibouti, Kenya, Burundi, and Uganda all joined the efforts, forming a new military command. Ethiopia’s integration into AMISOM did not occur until 2014. The heart of the issue was the Somali people’s broad opposition to Ethiopian troops being stationed in their country, which ignited the crisis to begin with. While much has changed since 2009 still we are not there yet , it is not necessarily for the better but there is some progress. The political framework has evolved, which is why the current Somali Federal Government (SFG) enjoys far more legitimacy than your former TFG ever did indeed.
