The gang that rules Hargeisa’s municipal council headed by the Somali National Security agent, Mr. Riyaale, has invested their last diminishing dollars in wrong internet talent. The gang lately came to the conclusion that the really reason the administration has been failing to gain an ear for their endeavor for international sovereignty for last 16 years is because nobody has succored them and defended their position in the cyber war in a logical and sincere debate. They could not pass the girls manned at the front reception desks of the foreigner ministers for the countries they had been visiting since the demon entered their skull. Please click this piece from Hargeisa posted on SoomaaliWeyn cite on May 8, 2007 to see how desperate the gang is to use the internet for their fantasy.

Wouldn’t you agree with me that Riyaale has chosen wrong talent when you see growing number of secessionists flying the darned flag and visiting Somali websites but sadly engaged in ad hominem discussions?

Robleh, the lady means change as in after the 2009 transition period. If you listen closely she states it that this transition period will continue until every Somali can elect their new leadership. Thus the TFG will have to change.

The June confernece is not about electing a new governemnt, its reconciling the clans and c*****ng a course for the new federal institutions, and the upcoming national elections in 2009

Seconomist is right, the aim of this governemnt is to put the foundations for the new federal Somali republic.

Mr. Duke I see alot ppl who have problem with understanding .

understanding the cognitive condition of someone who understands

understanding the statement (oral or written) of an exchange of promises

The adjective understanding has one meaning:

characterized by understanding based on comprehension and discernment and empathy

I would suggested ppl to go back and listen carefull to the interview

She even states we work well with President Yusuf, that all those invited must attend the meeting to be held in Mogadishu.

She is also clear on Sharif Ahmed who she says is no longer considered as a moderate and she is scathing on Sharif Xasan and the Asmara group, who the US suspects are in cahoots with extremist grousp hell bent on creating trouble for the Somali people.

All in all this was a very posative interview for the TFG, of course it needs to change so does any adminstration.

We [TFG] supporters get from this, is a commitment for the US adminstation to flagship projects of the TFG. 1. The national reconciliation conference as well as 2. the upcoming national elections for 2009 insha Allah.

The secessionists get nothing, not a mention of Somaliland.

The antigovernment groups led by Sharif Ahmed & Sharif Xasan get nothing more than to be put on the terror list and furthered isolated in their hole in Asmara

Yeey is almost 90 years old for heavens sake. He has achieved his dreams and he is very very sick. How could anybody expect this frail senior to hold on for another 7 years?

From what I have been hearing for a while, the man plans to retire after his term ends. No turning back for him.

On another thread we’ve discussed the person who is most likely to replace Yeey. My bet is still on the Interior Minister, Gacmodheere.

Nayruus,

Lets not abuse our privileges of posting opinions on SOL. JB was only commenting of your diversion from the subject matter. I agree with him that not only you're trying to distract my thread but you're not contributing to it. So relax, we are just one SOL family in here.

Duke,

Not only she said that "The TFG leadership needs to change" but she mentioned that the current government lead by Abdilahi Yussuf wont be able to stand. And of course, she was talking about this upcoming conference. So lets hope the next government from this conference to be one without any of the warlords that committed atrocities against its citizens.

You and I know that this conference is to change the TFG leadership, not to legitimize it. What is the point of doing this conference if the TFG leadership is to stay? There is no need that clans have to reconcile with each other. This is not what the Somali people need. They need a civilian government lead by Somali leaders who have clean records. What is wrong in Somalia is the lack of genuine leadership, not the people. Once the conference starts, it will be the people who are going to decide their new government. Neither Ali Mahdi nor Abdulahi Yussuf will be able to dictate the outcome of the conference.

Geeljire,

Who are the anti-TFG?

Please read my comments with an open-mind. In case you want to know, the anti-TFG are the majority of the Somali people who do not want those warlords.

Roobleh, the T.F.G leadership isn't being replaced in June nor is it going anywhere.Ethiopia, Kenya and America have already chosen their best people to run somalia, they are, the Somali warlods and other clan adovocates. Thus no changes will be made to these project which has been in the works for years. The Ethiopians can't afford to stay in Somalia, due to high level casualties and other insurgencies waging in Ocadenia and Oromia. On the other hand they can't afford to leave because there are no African union troops arriving anytime soon.

^No, Not at all money wise, they weren't rich neither have gained any benefit from the Somali disaster, but were tools used to prolong the Somali havoc to safegourd other people's interests, never restored peace, law and order and never taxed any Business man in their areas of control...

Yeah, Only tools used in a negative way and now can be used positively should they wish to do so or otherwise will hit the road as some of the mentioned names did...
