Saalixa Posted August 22, 2003 salamz well iam just wondering why some girlz hate baranbur. I love it and alwaays dance it when ever i go to weddings. I also do Botaarka. My mom is a specialist when it cums to these things and yeah ive been practicing. The only thing i dont do though is Nikotha. man thats a dirty dance. I dont know how some girls have the guts to do it infront of such a big crowd, men especially. but here in Australia the young sist's are the ones who play baranburka, and islamaihi halkas baa la firisiyey. I mean like we kick butttt! Baranbur and Botarkaba should stay wit us forever!

- Femme - Posted March 1, 2005 I swear I do not understand how women 3 times older than me and double the weight can jump that high and that fast!

Modesty Posted March 1, 2005 lol...I haven't been to a wedding for a while since I started this topic. But, insha'Allah next time I go I will do the Buranbur..
StarGazer Posted March 1, 2005 I've recently attempted (in the privacy of my home ofcourse)...I looked like a native Indian dancing...not what I was aiming for. My grandmother is the queen of buranbur, i betta learn it from her soon......lately she's been complaining about some pain in her ankle.
shyhem Posted March 2, 2005 Tamina I hope ur back ain't that stiff. You know what they say about dancing and Flexibility.Agirl must have a rhythm in her buranbur.
Almas Posted March 3, 2005 I remember when i was about 10 I would hate it when my mom jumped in...i would beg her the whole NIGHT not to, but ofcourse she'd still jump in anyways. Its funny because she said she use to do the same... With that said though I think it would be a shame if buranbar became non existent...but i really do think only people who know what their doing should jump in there
