OLOL Posted September 15, 2005 Cumar Filish, Maxamuud Salaad Nuur, Furux, Cadde Gaaboow,Gen. Maxamed Sheekh Cusmaan Miikaa'iil and many others influential figures in Mogadishu all belong to the same clan. Some are opportunists and others are realists. I know one thing that though they are all opposed both to the clannish machinations of president warlord Yeey and the apathetic selfish mendacity of the warlords..i.e. Qanyare ,Ato & Sudi.. Mogadishu people are tired of clan nonesense. They have confidence in their clout and are not worried about the petty clannish politics of Yeey. Some even argue Yeey is means to an end.....You have civil societies, intellectuals, political opportunists, women's organizations, doctors, students, religious clerks, free press, free market and all are engaging each other with discussions of how to get rid of the warlords and other leeches. This shows the laissez-faire thinking of the different competing Mogadishu groups. This is a city of maturity and realism. I know close families who are torn apart by different ideologies. There is no monolithic view in this city of opposites unlike other parts of Somalia.

I like the above statement, well put. You stated clearly they all belong to the same clan. Evidently its not your clan since you are Eritrian or something [pardon me if I am wrong]. So how do you know more than anyone, what they intend to do or their future plans? The truth is simple the above mentioned individuals support the plan of the government headed by President Yusuf and PM Geedi. Like I said who has more support than the TFG in Mogadishu if they can rely on just the above individuals? As for your constsant attempt at being divisive, brother you are no closer to Mogadishu than I or others say as far away as Puntland, once you realise that some of the weight might fall of your small shoulders.. Sky Posted September 15, 2005 LOL No OLOL I'm not laughing, I'm talking to you. So listen! You are Eitrean aren't you and just for 1/8 Somali? Do us a favor and discuss the dictatorship of Isaias Afewerki in eritreaonline.com and put up a good word for the Somali people there since we are your Reer Ayeeyo or something. Your contribution was well appreciated, but my dear boy we can no longer hold you here, for your ideas are more needed among your own countrymen. It saddens me as well, but we must let you go. OLOL Posted September 16, 2005 I would have done and gone to Eritrean Forums but I know nothing about Eritrea, the land of my great-great grandfathers. I am more Somali than you all. My loyalty is to Somalia and Somalia alone. I prescribe to no clan and fortunately all of my grandmothers are from different Somali clans. This makes me the most unflustered Somali national. I prescribe to no clan nonesense and but I despise certain clans because of their clannish attitude. I have neighbors from Puntland and Mogadishu. Guess what? The “Reer Baadiye from Qardho and God knows where that is†ones are on our face all the time bragging, disseminating fictitious lies, and obsessively talking about clan all the time and engaging in a reproachful ruffian’s commotion on other neighbors in our own living room. As a matter of fact, I can hear Eedo Caasho's earsplitting chatter. We call her Auntie "Tahniyo iyo Dhambaal" Xishood ma leh, ma taqaan dhaaf faanka, dadkaan ma u baxeyso waxaa sheegeeyso, daris-nimo eey kuugu xishmeeynaayaan maahinee, mar horeey kaa taqalusi lahaayeen. And worst of all, we are fed up with her Taxi-driver son, the biggest show-off charlatan on earth, whose first greetings is " Maxaa la sheegay maanta" and who boasts of becoming an Ambassador or a minsiter in Yeey's kingdom.... Hence, a question that one has to ask is why people from certain regions all are deemed to be so monolithic and all gripped by the same clannish hogwash.Other Somalis seem more conditioned to have broadminded different views and their life doesn’t revolve around tribalism all the time. why is it only people from " Gobol" are all obsessed with clan nonesense?
