Although the sentiments are there, we cannot condone piracy in any shape or form. Two wrongs don’t make it right. The Somali predicament has been highlighted albeit by wrong means (piracy) now we need to quickly flip it to our advantage (policies that build stronger government and protects our shores).

Thing is the Govnt isn't using this to it's advantage.

 

1. Line up a firm to carryout tests offshore.

 

2. Use the current situation to obtain financing for num 1 and some boats for coastal patrols

 

3. Pirates will see this, toxic dumpers will see this etc

 

4. The coastal patrols to be carriedout by today's pirates but tomorrows coast guards
