Khalaf Posted November 13, 2006 salaamu alaykum dang i need to learn af somali. this is not good news the new tention it only creates death and destruction. i talked to my cuz who talked to relatives in galkaacyo, Duke can u verify this? He said their is support of the population for the courts, n members of the courts [their own clansmen] are swaying [soliders]ppl by giving them money as far as SOOL. Most likely there wont be a fight...Allah knows best.... if there is fight whats the army of puntland only OMahmoud dats what he said .......the courts are well armed and supported by the Gulf countries w/ money right Duke? In da end if they move on to puntland or beyond it will only be if the those populations welcome them...marka lets all calm down...inshallah khayr. RedSea Posted November 13, 2006 ^I think so,but there won't be fight unless Qaybdiid the yesterday warlord and criminal and today's warlord and criminal is expelled from Puntland in which he is using as launch pad of which he launches his attacks from,he must be gotten rid of in any means by Puntland authority from their adminstered areas. It doesn't matter whatsoever if he is in his clan territory or not,he is criminal and a warlord, for that the ICU is after him, they will go after him wherever he hides and he will be brought to justice. If Puntland sides with him, then they have invited trouble. In order for Puntland to continue living in peace, they must not invite criminals like he for trouble comes along ..it's their choice.

RedSea Posted November 13, 2006 lol @khalaf,well I did steal few words from him,but UK folks wouldn't know, well darn they watch the BBC don't they? Secondly, the last thing I want to see is Puntland being distablize,I say that with all my heart. However,we cannot have this criminal of so called Qaybdiid, using Puntland's hard earned peace as a place to launche his dirty business from or simply as Bush put it,use the region as a 'shield'. He must be told to defend his own will,Puntland must not help him nor they shouldn't spend a penny of currency nor a single life of their soldiers trying to give a shoulder to criminal whom terrorise these same people years back. Leaving him for his own is the better solution,he will be arrested if that is the case, but if he continuous to hit and then backpaddles back to Puntland, then the ICU might be left no choice but to cross borders in pursuit of capturing the criminal, which could result in another bloody civil war.But I don't expect that to happen, the ICU is simply good at avoiding bloodshed, they will not as I expect go after him, they will try to destroy his forces outside of Puntland if he ever shows up. General Duke Posted November 13, 2006 Khalaf, the situation is to Puntlands advantage. The troops in south Mudug right now are comprised from all the major clans of the state. The internal dispute has evaporated since the attack of the clan courts in South Mudug and their stated aim of taking Galkacyu... President Cade and most comanders with many troops have arrived in Galkacyu, there are reports that clan millitia of Mudug-Nugaal are coming from all corners in order to take their part in the upcoming struggle with the clans of Mogadishu/ Galgaduud or what we know as the clan courts. The population is angry, they want real change but not an outside invasion of Galkacyu. Its a classic clan confrontation. A/Qaybdeed is also back from Baidoa and he will spearhead any defence of South Mudug as he is the comander of the clan forces.
RedSea Posted November 13, 2006 ^You are promoting voilence which is not good, you are hoping for fight which in your own superficial thinking will create "united" Puntlanders in its outcome. It's sad indeed..
General Duke Posted November 13, 2006 Horseednet.com is reporting that the troops are now in Banderadlay itslef and are facing of the courts who are 1km distance.. General Duke Posted November 13, 2006 You are promoting voilence which is not good, you are hoping for fight which in your own superficial thinking will create "united" Puntlanders in its outcome. It's sad indeed How on earth am I promoting violence? I was answering a question from brother Khalaf regarding the situation in Galkacyu, and Mudug. Have I said people lets go fight, lets go on a clan Jihad against Baidoa and so on like some in here The tension in Mudug was created by the clan courts... RedSea Posted November 13, 2006 ^Read your words brother, you have countless times repeated that in case of war,it would be "good" for Puntland, have you or haven't you say that. You don't neccessarily have to state it directly like that in order to be seen you are promoting something negative,it's all evident in your writing. The tension in Mudug came as result of criminal Qaybdiid's presence there. The Puntland government must know better and should get rid of this bad apple that is effecting them. Thankful Posted November 13, 2006 Please Qaybdiid is welcome in Puntland and has huge support among his people in South Gaalkayo. The clan courts accept warlords like Indha Cade because he helps their cause. We will see the out come of this battle, Puntland has seen this many times. On another note, the thing I like about horseednet is that it actually uses pictures on its site. You can tell they put more of an effort in reporting. Most of the other sites are writing from Europe, Australia and North America and use only people they call by phone as sources. Even though Horseed is based in Holland, it still puts the effort to include pics, to show they have people on the front lines.
General Duke Posted November 13, 2006 Red Sea, you are funny, I have outlined the consequence of attacking a major Puntland city like Galkacyu. It creates a seige mentality and the people become defensive and thus united. The internal sub-clan disputes are set aside and the big picture is focused in. The invasion of Puntland has always been a key agenda for the clans of Mogadishu. It matters little to me, If you find my words and analysis of the situation difficult. The news from Galkacy is that people are gearing for a major conflict, I would rather have my city spared, my kinsmen from North & South Mudug, the boys from Mogadishu all of their lives are important and I wish and pray to Allah we could go beyond this.
