I am not privy to any classified information but I have a gut feeling the TFG’s new found fortune will be used to muscle Al-Shabaab and its supporters. That would be unfortunate as it will cement the narrative that Shariif and his TFG is just another tyrannical hand-puppet for “foreign enemies of Islam”. The TFG should use this money to make tangible improvements in people's lives while ignoring Al-Shabaab and its side agenda. Another prolonged conflict will not change anything. The most powerful army in Africa was in Mogadishu and it coulnd’t bring a lasting peace.

The good Shariif must not fall for the bait.

And you doubt that ??/ ,,,

That is what i've been saying. Not that the west respects the people's choice to implement Shariah but shariifka is just a tool for them. I'm sure he doesn't know that but they're using him against Alshabaab.

Once they're gone ,, he will be gone too.

Adigu JB'yoow lugta sidaa ugu walaaq konfurta to advance that agenda of ours aynu isla ognahay! When will you ever say waxbaa saxan in the south. Shariif is doing just fine, and if Alshabab do not respect the vioce of the people they MUST be eradicated with force! Nolosha umadda somaaliyeed kolba waddaad yar oo gadh la soo baxay u afduub naan mayso. The clergy must go back to the mosques and allow the technocrats to serve the country. Alshabab is petulant.

Chimera

Somalia needs 5/10 billion to rebuild the ruined institutions and strengthen the gains made in Economics,Education and Health care during the Anarchy era for lasting peace. The West can easily cough up this sum but it's not interested. 60 million? The self-proclaimed President of Somalia who has been in office for five terms can cough up more than that, and i'm not talking about dear Pres. Sharif. :D
