Geel_jire Posted July 7, 2008 ^ as someone who as lived in both cities .. in a way they are very similar .. the toll of war is there for people who want to see. it is amazing once you travel away from the beaches and the high-rise buildings go to the south-side of beirut it looks almost like shangaani it is bullet-ridden, dirty and looks like the war is still going on.
