Abiy has mastered the art of betraying:

Here are the groups he betrayed:

1. Oromo youth who forced out the TPLF

2. Lemma Megersa, the preferred candidate who stepped aside and allowed to become him the PM

3. Eritrea who saved many soldiers from the Northern Command and assisted him in ousting TPLF

4. Amhara and Afar who paid a heavy price in men and material

5. And finally OLF and other rebel groups who laid down and chose peace.

Taking risks in politics sometimes pays off, but eventually this hubris will lead his downfall.

His days is numbered but Western installed puppet like Hassan Sheikh will be worst for Somalia. We can not be wishful for his replacement. He doesn’t have means to take our sea but some body else may. Some of his policies were positive for Somalia. The days of regional governments meeting is over, thanks for him. If he leaves and a western sponsored leader replaces him. You can expect more inference.

The Tigray and TPLF who got him in to power at the first place.

Eritrea's mistake

Eritrea is just a smaller part of Ethiopia in terms of thinking they have backed the TPLF in its inception. And now they are flirting with Amhara.

This is an interesting portrait of Abiy Ahmed, from a month ago before this latest saga on the Red Sea deal with Somaliland started.

What is quite contradictory about Abiy is that while he seemed quite genuine at first about Horn of Africa integration, and building a political and economic Union in the region that moves towards gradual integration and harmonisation, he does the opposite by this latest move bringing the region on the brick of a potential war. 

Furthermore, what is even more antithetical is that through an integrated Horn of Africa Union, Ethiopia would have gotten access to the lands, markets and sea of its neighbouring countries and would have been the centre and powerhouse of the region, instead its risking now to become the pariah shunned by the whole region and further dividing the region with all erecting measures against eachother. 

Che, was right all along Abiy is not the man we all thought to belief he was, perhaps its even worser that he seems to be a maniac driven by hubris and day dreams of chasing grandiosity.

EPLF had the golden chance to dissolve Ethiopia back in 1991. But the leadership of EPLF choose to milk Ethiopia under the rulership of the TPLF.  In reality Eritrean Christians are just Abysinians. and have a soft spot for Ethiopia. And so did the leadership of Eritrea in the 1990s Eritrean Christians are just Ethiopians in a different suit

Abiy has increasingly made the case in public for Ethiopia to acquire a port, citing the nation’s population of around 120 million people being trapped in a “geographic prison”. To buttress his argument, Abiy referenced legendary nineteenth-century Abyssinian emperors and warriors who proclaimed the Red Sea as Ethiopia’s “natural boundary”.

The prime minister warned that ignoring the issue could potentially lead to a regional conflict. Abiy’s preference is ostensibly to attain access to Eritrea’s port in Assab, while he has also mentioned Zeila in Somaliland and Djibouti, Ethiopia’s current primary outlet.

On some occasions, Abiy has warned that using military force is not out of the question. On others, he has denied that he intends to invade Eritrea.

The prime minister’s allies have even citedthe annexation of land by Russia in Ukraine and Israel in Palestine to justify Ethiopia’s intentions to gain access to Assab or Zeila, and as proof that it can get away with doing so.

Abiy’s calls for Ethiopia to acquire a sea port have, understandably, encountered pushback from Somalia, Djibouti, and Eritrea. A few days after his controversial statement, Abiy displayed Ethiopia’s military strength in a parade featuring new weapons and Russian-made electronic warfare systems.

Most concerning, there has been an increase in troop mobilization towards the Eritrean and Ethiopian borders by both sides, suggesting conflict may be brewing. Cargo flights between the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Ethiopia have significantlyincreased since late October 2023, surpassing previous airlift operations during the Tigray War.
