He is right though i dont see what he said that is so wrong , the history part though a bit wrong to say that colonialist created Somali state ,  it was a Somali inniative to begin with that somalis united in 1960. But the part that if he had made an agreement with somalia to lease ports inside Somaliland it wouldnt fly he said that couldnt work .

so he is right on that.  but either way  if somalia claims its in a hostile conflict with ethiopia he shouldnt be in mogadishu at alll , what ever he says is meaningless

Hé is right that the port of zeila was at one time in the 14 century invaded. By the Abyssinians and they held it for only a few years 4 or 5 years , this was during their Abyssinian king amde Tzion how ever .  If we go by this logic the lush land south of Addis ababa also belongs to Somaliland since once upon of time the ifat sultanate ruled  that part as part of their sultanate. There is nothing wrong with the term Somali speaking people. We have to make a distinction between Somali ethnicity and Somali nationality , and Somaliland nationality kenyan nationality Djiboutian nationality .. all these people are somali speaking people. The same way u have Tigrigna speakers in Ethiopia and in Eritrea. German speaking people  in Austria and Deutchland.  people use this term often u know

when did this idea start? I remember here in SOL you guys used to say, South Somali is Bantu, and you are original Somali, what happened to that narrative, it did not take off.

Soomaali ku hadla, is a poor attempt to differentiate Somalis,
