Sikaawe Posted February 22, 2010 Mohamed Ibrahim Warsame( Hadraawi) King of the kings Mohamed Ibrahim Warsame ( Hadraawe) is a well known Somali poet, songwiter, teacher, literary agent and above all a true mujaahid and warrior. I personally won't forget his poem Daalaley which I believe is national treasure for Somaliland and its people. Of course there other well respected poets like him all in Somalia, but again Hadraawi is the guy who is the reigning champion of Somalia's literature today by distinction.# Recently, Somaliland education ministry together with some prominent intelectuals have named after him an archive house for Somalia's literature as a whole in Hargeisa. The ceremony for the opening attracted a lot of people including ministers and civilians, but some respected poets boycotted for just pure jealousy and envy as they were themselves expecting to get named after the house. But who cares, as for majority of Somalilanders Hadraawe is our favourite and will always be. Long Live Hadraawe, You will always be in our hearts: "...
