djibsomali Posted November 11, 2009 Remembrance Day in the western world is a day to commemorate the sacrifices of members of the armed forces. It is observed on 11 November to recall the end of World War I on that date in 1918. On this Remembrance Day, we in the Diaspora, and particularly at Adal Resources and Development Assistance Association (ARDAA), are here to recall and to remember once again Ali Aw Omer Bare, Daud Hashi Jama, Mawlid Hassan Omer and Ali Mohamed Nur (Bagaashle), who were murdered in cold blood by a clan militia while travelling on the road between Dilla and Kalabaydh on July 11, 2009. We are here again and again to remind the Somaliland government, the Somaliland public and the international community that the families of the victims are still waiting for justice, for answers and for closure about the loss of their loved ones. Four months after the brutal murder of Ali, Daud, Mawlid and Ali, no one seems to care at all: the media has closed that chapter, political parties have higher stakes in their upcoming election campaigns (they cannot afford to upset either side and therefore lose votes from Dilla and/or Gabiley), and the civic society is disarrayed by multiple pressures of clan loyalty, weak social structures and political polarization. In the meantime, the perpetrators of the crime are treated as royalty among certain clans and quarters in the Gabiley and Hargeisa areas. The Board of Directors of ARDAA, its membership and volunteers, while once again condemning this outrageous and cowardly act of killing in unequivocal words, do hereby renew their call to remember the victims of 7/11 on this Remembrance Day and to: 1-Send sincere condolences to the families of the victims of this atrocity. May Allah bless their souls, 2-Demand that the perpetrators of this heinous crime as well as those who provided them material support be brought before the court of justice and should be severely punished in line with the state law, 3-Acknowledge that this action would be a “serious black mark” and a setback to the government and people of Somaliland and their efforts to co-exist in peace and tranquility, and 4-Demand that measures be taken to prevent similar violence again and/or elsewhere in the country. Complicated Posted November 11, 2009 I always thought it was only me but, it is good to see many more SOLers are as confused as I am with this chap's writing "skills". Mr. Oodweyne has mastered the use of the wonderful method of conning everyone called "Blinding by Science". Big words that make absolutely no sense at all except making sure the conversation is diverted from its intended audience while, not answering the question at hand. In this case Oodweyne has masterfully done it AGAIN. War ninku qaamuuskii ingiriiska oo dhan buu liqaye ka leexda. Adeer isagoo dhan halkan kusoo qor. PS. Dee hadaad hadalkayka ka xumaatana inaadeer raali noqo, waa iska cantarabaqashkii SOL e.
