Juje Posted February 13, 2008 Abdullahi Yusuf left London nearly a week ago. His last press interview was with Universal TV - apart from it being sarcastic, calumnious and malice, it was on the other hand words of an octogenarian who has lost grip and influence on catastrophe he instigated. Yeey in simple words was not aware and did not have the least idea of changes going on in Somalia under the PM Nuur Caade. For a start, as apparent in the TV interview, he was not happy at all with the release of the elders led by Axmed Diiriye. What more irritated him was those imprisoned after the fall of the ICU and taken to detention centers in Ethiopia were being released in droves as a reconciliation gesture by Caade. This atmosphere of counting loss and creating a consensus environment is deplorable in his believe. His mentality is either you are subordinate and loyal to him or you are a 'terrorist'. He has yet to comprehend the meaning of the latter. Nevertheless Yeey's antagonism towards the plausible gestures by Nuur Caade seems to have been tamed or even made irrelevant by the powers that be to him - not only that his role as head of the State seems to have incapacitated. He is not anymore in London under medical care - where at least we could have sympathized with him. He is not in his hole in Xamar nor in his fort in Baydhabo. He is in Addis home of his mentors and guide - where he has not uttered anything at all since his arrival about a week ago. Very unoriginal. Since naming the PM he has not contributed anything whether official or unofficial. Makes you wonder what his role has come to - if we are to believe the websites that are loyal to him then Yeey has had four meetings with Zenawi over the five days - on the other sides websites that are not loyal are reporting that he is being asked to stand down as part of a overhaul change in Somalia since he was the leader of the failed attempt to bring back order to Somalia. The Americans who have financed the Ethiopian invasion and continuing occupation - and the EC who are literally bank rolling the TFG see Yeey ( just as it was with Geedi) to be a major obstacle in achieving something in Somalia. This seems to be supported by the inactivity and silence by Yeey - plus his irrational behavior in his last interview leads to this suggestion.

xiinfaniin Posted February 13, 2008 [/img] This is classic. Noteworthy is Yey’s happy face unaware of the ominous perils of his policy. The closeness of the dangerous cliff is another symbolic depiction of this man’s fate. But the prompt, some may say courageous, intervention by Cadde is a sign of hope, and good Camir captures that sentiment. Well done yaa Caamir.
Xidigo Posted February 13, 2008 I think his master strangled him; we need to send experience detectives to investigate the scene. We need volunteers, any body?
