SSC-Khaatumo military strategy is flawed 8 months on

First of all there shouldn't be many civilians in Las Anod they should have been evacuated to nearby towns. Secondly they should have mined the main road from west,              destroy bridges etc at the start to make it harder for the enemy to move equipments. Thirdly with so many armed forces with technicals they should have been sent to           missions in say  Qorilugud and Caynaba to draw out the Muse Bihi forces.All that is just basic military strategies nothing sophisticated. Look at the Gacanlibaax                         forces  for example they took out 30 Muse Bihi forces in one day without losing a single soldier.The motto is work smarter not harder.

That is true with Gacanlibaax even shelling won't work so they have no choice but to face them as infantry.

That depends on two things the west side of the road and the north of city called (dhoodiga) all the way to Xudun area that is where they usually transfer their wounded then down to the main road in Oog. If all that is blocked then it would work.

Before you even raise the issue of "go'doon'. First, ask yourself who is in go'doon right now? The SL Army has check points on all sides with the exception of the Southern side of Laascaanood. That means, East, North and West of Laascaanood is under Somaliland Army control. 

Gooja cade has never been under threat. For the past 8 months, the D-clan melitia were trying to open the main road to Garowe, so they don't have to suffer the grueling rough road South of Laascaanood when transporting their wounded people to Garowe. 

The last attempt by the clan melitia to fight anywhere outside of the Urban area was in the village of Dabansaar near Tuulo Samakaab. The Somaliland Army taught them a lesson they never forgot. It was their first and their last.

Waar Gooja cade iska ilaaw, Maraaga is the most important gateway for you guys both in terms of transporting your wounded people to Garowe etc. Today, you take the 60 km rough road south of Laascaanood and get on the road near Gambadhe. For a wounded person that is torture.
