AhmedGuled Posted August 3, 2023 Proof nepotism does not work and a good case for a merit based society. Amen.

Look at Hamse, he can not even make coherent speech exactly... if they stealing day light like this girl...imagine all the positions in every field they filling in people who have no idea what they doing...how this country is going to get any where
AhmedGuled Posted August 3, 2023 11 hours ago, Tallaabo said: This competition and the similarly cringe worthy ones before it epitomises the Somali people as a whole. It is a perfect picture of our collective failure. This world and everything in it is defined by competition. It's fabric is made of the carcasses of the loosers and the trophies of the winners. From the constant struggles between the prey and the predator in the animal kingdom (survival of the fittest) to the competition for resources between individual humans and their families, everything is based on competition. Nations which are just a collection of families, are also in competition. And in this group competition of families, we became a joke just like our tortoise sister in this embarrassing clip. Which is why Somaliland needs to breakaway from the hellscape called Somalia. Mo Farah is from Somaliland and this is proof that Somalilanders can complete on the world stage with dignity and class. They nurtured him, trained him, financed him, and promoted him. So where does Somaliland feature in the process of him being a world class athlete? Moreover, Somaliland is just as ugly as Somalia is if not even uglier nowadays.

I understand that but he is still a Somalilander which means he could have represented us on the world stage if Somaliland as a member of the U.N. I know Somaliland is going through some ugly episode but ina Biixi will be gone and a better group of people will come. Don't lose hope in Somaliland as we are not as low as Somalia. There are many successful Somalis around world from sports people to politicians. . That's like saying Pland should separate cuz there are successful "Planders" like Ahmed Hussen (who held several cabinet positions in Trudeau Government) and Judge Abdulqawo (current judge and former president of International Court of Justice). One can actually argue the likes of Mo Farah and Ahmed Hussen become successful cuz they are not in Somalia/Somaliland where one's merit is secondary. And Tallaabo is right. Somaliland is corrupt. Bihi came to the presidency as a poor man and he will leave a multimillionaire. Beyond the core people that surrounded different presidents and the business cartels, who else in Somaliland seen their lives improved?
