I would have prefered if a cheap politician delivered the ultimatum and not the Garaad but that shows the level of experience of the young Garaad.

 

Anyways, this will not change much on the situation on the ground. The Garaad is underestimating the level of support by the locals for Somaliland just like Puntland had. And as Somaliland's Deputy Chair of Parliament Mr. Baashe stipulated, if there is ever a breakout of clanish war in Sool as has been in the past then it will be between the locals and not anyone else.

Suldaanka, the elder Garaad Jamac has every right to make such announcement, he's the tradional leader of SSC and has more right to decide what happens in those regions than any of your Somaliland leaders, Riyaale, Silaanyo or Mr Fooxle A. Yasin.

I completely agree with him, it has always been a local issue. Whoever Habsaade is sided with determines who lascaanod is loyal to. Puntland may have underestimated local support and so did Riyaale the last time he tried to visit. Those in control seem to rightful decide on their own who they should side with; if this decade is any indication decisions can easily change.
