Che -Guevara Posted yesterday at 07:54 PM Getachew Reda is being deposed. The old TPLF guard which apparently is allied with Eritrea has taken over Tigray "A misguided decision by a cabal of few army officers to take the law into their hands and dismantle state structures throughout Tigray the last few days has plunged the region into an uncharted territory, with civilians protesting these illegal moves being rounded up and shot at at random. Many casualties in Adigudom and parts of Mekelle. The rampage is part of a harebrained plan to install an illegal faction of TPLF into the position of power, a move that flies full in the face of the aspirations of the people of Tigray and if the Pretoria Agreement. It’s incumbent upon all the stakeholders to the Pretoria agreement to face down such a brazen move before it escalates into another round of devastating war on and against the people of Tigray. There is every reason to believe external forces are trying to take advantage of this crisis to stock up more violence throughout the region and beyond. As if the suffering of hundreds of thousands of people in IDP camps is not worse enough, the very officers who only recently put themselves in harm’s way in their people’s cause. Much as it pains me to break ranks with my erstwhile comrades, it’s altogether fitting and appropriate that we condemn such reckless acts of unmitigated violence in the service of a faction hell bent on grabbing power at all costs." https://x.com/reda_getachew/status/1899501893509955655?t=mhIAlSZ3WEwROt8jbeJsIw&s=

It will always continue to be instability, and even more so today with Abiy in power.
Che -Guevara Posted 6 hours ago #Ethiopia: #Tigray Interim Admin urges federal gov’t for “necessary assistance,” warns of “looming danger” The Tigray Regional Interim Administration has urged the federal government to “understand” the worsening crisis and “provide necessary support,” warning that a faction within the Tigray military forces is working to “dismantle” the Pretoria Agreement and destabilize the region. The administration claimed that since January 23, 2025, some high-ranking commanders have been mobilizing to carry out “an outright coup to serve the power interests of a few,” with illegal activities intensifying on the Northeastern and Southern fronts. The administration also accused the commanders of attempting to “dismantle the Interim Administration from top to bottom” while carrying out “illegal actions” against civilians. It alleged that these figures, driven by the interests of “a power-hungry group,” are undermining the administration and violating the Pretoria Agreement, exacerbating the suffering of the Tigray people. In its statement, the administration called on the federal government to provide necessary assistance and not remain “silent” as the region faces “looming danger.” It further appealed to the international community to “exert necessary pressure” on the group and its backers, warning that failure to act would lead to “another round of suffering” for the people of Tigray. Che -Guevara Posted 22 minutes ago "I briefed the ambassadors of @USEmbassyAddis, @GerEmbAddis, @AmbafranceET, @ItalyinEthiopia, @EUinEthiopia, @UKinEthiopia on the recent developments in Tigray and the challenges the interim administration continues to face in performing its functions. And of course we discussed at length on how to better arrest the deteriorating situation in the region and the efforts all stakeholders to the Pretoria agreement need to avert any relapse to yet another round of devastating war where the involvement of many regional actors with nefarious plans is a distinct possibility. The people of Tigray deserve peace!" Getachew Reda https://x.com/reda_getachew/status/1899898359617626287?t=px8le-7I8FCw2jx_y_teTQ&s=
