General Duke Posted October 28, 2010 Somaliland One-Clan Secessionist - The Godfather of Al Shabaab is the Culprit for the Bombings in Uganda Ahmed Godane, a Somalilander, the head of the Al Shabaab in Southern Somalia has the blessing and full material and financial support of the criminal break away secessionist Somaliland. In their twisted calculations, secessionist Somaliland believes to gain everything from the havoc and devastation Al Shabaab causes in Southern Somalia and across the border. Somaliland Secessionists are convinced that as long as the southern part of Somalia remains barbaric and appears hopeless in the eyes of the international community, they will win the sympathy and attention of the world (international community). This means recognition for the secessionists. Ahmed Godane, the Al Shabaab leader, sizable number of prominent leaders of Al Shabaab, and thousands of Al Shabaab militia are Somalilanders from the Issak clan of the North of Somalia. These Issak secesiionists admit they are allied to Al Qaida and their mission is to secure recognition for their enclave in the North of Somalia. The Somaliland secessionist leaders and supporters are adamantly opposed to any kind of intervention to solve and/or contain the threats of Al Shabaab by Ethiopia, other frontline countries, the African countries in the region, and the international community. The secessionist opposition results from their fear that the intervention will disrupt the mayhem in the south which they see as being fundamental for them in achieving international recognition. The media and many analysts recall how War Criminal Ahmed Silanyo, the incoming secessionist president, opposed the Ethiopian intervention in Somalia in 2006, and the subsequent intervention of AMISOM. The objective of the secessionists is to let Al Shabaab march on up untill they (the secessionists) are recognized as an independent country. Obviously, Somalia, the frontline countries, Africa, and the world is held hostage for the secessionist so called Somaliland - the driving force behind Al Shabaab. The Problems of Al Shabaab will only be solved when the international community understands the conspiracy of the secessionists, confront them, and passes an unambiguous declaration that there will be no recognition for the secessionists. In addition, the secessionist leaders should be held accountable for the criminal and terrorist actions they carried out in the south and neighboring countries, the last of them the terrorist bombings in Kampala – the capital of Uganda, if Al Shabaab's responsibility in these attacks is established. Eventually, the hijacked population of the Issak in the North of Somalia is to be assisted to participate in the reconciliation process of all Somalia. Again how is it possible? Unless the secessionist project is supporting this.. Or are we suppose to believe the stories that this man "escaped" from Somaliland and came to the South without any support from the junta? Yeah I would rather your other fairytales such as the Queen being your lost Mother.
General Duke Posted October 28, 2010 Shabab Leaders are from Somaliland. Mahdi HaileApril 18, 2010Shabab Leaders are from Somaliland. Shabab leaders from the Northern Somalia are mainly to blame for destroying Southern Somalia. As far as The Southern Somalis are concerned, the people who are destroying Somali are from The Break away republic OF Somaliland who wants to entertain international recognition. Perhaps the Southern Somalia´s woes and wars; are the efforts of people from Somaliland who want to achieve international recognition for Somaliland. There has been no time for political settlement in the south, rehabilitation or reconstruction. The- population from southern Somalia have scattered around the world and Most do not know where their loved ones are and whether they are still living or dead. They live in fear under a heavy Shabab military presence, led Axmed Cabdi Goodane, also known as Moktar Ali Zubeyr Godane the Amir of Shabab who is from Somaliland. according Ahmed Abdi Ow Mohamud Godane was born in Hargeisa, the capital of Somaliland 10 July 1977. • He is from Arab sub-clan in **** clan, one of the dominant clan in northern Somalia . • He had received a scholarship in Pakistan funded by Saudi blind millionaires. • He used to visit in Afghanistan during holidays In 2001, physically tin, Godane returned to Hargeisa, Somaliland . He began preaching in Abu-Bashir mosque in central Hargeisa between 2002 and 2003. He was working for Ex-Barakat Telesom, Somaliland . Later Godane left from Somaliland follwing a row with some of his group over a large amount of money they roped from an Ethiopian businessman and then come to southern Somalia. Godane and Afkhani both had trainings in Afghanistan and made friends in southern Somalia where they diverted their mission and doubled it. When the Islamic Courts Union came to power in southern Somalia in 2006 Mr. Godane who gave himself the name ´Abu-Zubeyr became the general secretary for ICU. During the start of the war with Ethiopia late 2006, Godane got wounded and flown to Sudan for medical treatment. • He was brought back in southern Somalia February 2007 where he continued his terror mission. In southern Somalia, People suffer a continued armed Shabab presence, and daily human rights violations that are perpetrated with impunity and with no independent investigation of these crimes. According to reliable sources, then the former business man and man with money coming from Somali land is definitely the evil in southern Somalia. But should the Somali Landers covertly be backing him as their candidate to insatiability in Southern Somalia? Which I don't think so; he is implicated in war crimes and crimes against humanity. These men and many other Somalilanders in Shabab ranks were largely responsible for the instability of the South Somalia and kin and for the destruction of Somalia. They should be brought to court to answer for their crimes and, given that, I believe it is morally and ethically impossible to throw one's monetary or material support behind either of these criminals from Northern Somalia. Southern Somali have always been at warlord sponsored wars. However this war is different and it has to be one that is getting monetary and material support from Northern Somalia and other State sponsors. The international community should monitor this situation closely. The Southerners are waking up to this..

Fiqikhayre Posted October 28, 2010 Somaliland Predictions Bearing Out: al-Shabaab Terrorist Group Empowered; Ethiopia May React. Written by Defense & Foreign Affairs The Republic of Somaliland’s incoming President, Ahmed Mohamed Silanyo, on July 28, 2010, announced his new Cabinet, but the formation of the Government has done little to stem the internecine squabbling within the ruling Kulmiye party, but has opened – as predicted – the Government to the al-Shabaab terrorist movement. Significantly, the outgoing Pres. Dahir Rayale Kahin’s UDUP Government of Somaliland had held the line against al-Shabaab and the Islamists. Dr Mohamed Abdi Gaboose, a radical Islamist and longtime associate of the new President, was named Minister of Interior and Domestic Affairs. He is a member of the X-Tribe, and, as noted by Defense & Foreign Affairs Special Analysis of July 14, 2010, has strong personal connections with al-Shabaab. His new position places him in direct control of internal security and intelligence, and thus overcomes all of the efforts of the previous Government to work with the Western states against al-Qaida-linked terrorist groups, such as al-Shabaab. Pres. Silanyo’s medical condition – due to his advanced Type One diabetes – means that he is not in full control of the transforming political situation, but the trend of pan-Somalist and pan-Islamist activities already means that Somaliland has become less-than-reliable ally to neighboring Ethiopia. This has fully justified the faith of the governments of Eritrea, Iran, and possibly Egypt, in supporting Kulmiye. However, the Ethiopian Government – which itself had expressed concern that UDUP leader Kahin was not up to facing the challenge from Kulmiye – has been preparing to respond. This is of prime importance to Ethiopia, given that Somaliland’s port of Berbera has become a significant trade link for Ethiopia. Military action by Ethiopia against Somaliland-based al-Shabaab terrorists is entirely feasible. Meanwhile, Dr Mohamed Abdullahi Omar was named Minister of Foreign Affairs in the new Government, highlighting the fact that the new Administration places a low priority on foreign affairs, and intends to pursue its “foreign policy” within the framework of neighboring Somalia, Eritrea, and Iran. The US Government did not send a representative to witness the transition of power from Pres. Kahin to Pres. Silanyo, and it now seems less than likely that Washington will help promote the sovereign recognition which Hargeisa had been seeking. The Kulmiye Government continues to claim that it seeks this recognition of Somaliland sovereignty, which is what most of Kulmiye’s traditional support base wants. However, the reality is that the “new Kulmiye”, now dominated by Islamists, will not seek to integrate with a broader international community. In the meantime, al-Shabaab is working to expand its operations throughout the Horn of Africa and down as far as Burundi while beginning to expand its contacts with other jihadist and new-salafist groups throughout the Middle East, the Maghreb, and West Africa.
