Miskiin-Macruuf-Aqiyaar Posted November 20, 2006 The somali ethiopian... What an oxymoronic as this. There is no such thing, never was and never will. It is as remote as the hyphen between Angel-Devil. Do not insult reer Soomaali Galbeed. What did Mark Twain write? Soomaali is Soomaali, Amxaar/Tigreey is Amxaar/Tigreey and never do their lands unite nor their peoples.
Somali_Friend Posted November 20, 2006 Miskiin-Macruuf-Aqiyaar, Somali is ethnicity Ethiopian is citizenship Thats shouldn't be too difficult to use. Lets agree for now, until you can change it. The constitution in ethiopia is that: You convince 66.6% of the people of the said ethnic or nationality and you can do as you please with the said nationality. Pretty simple. The somali was one of the main formulators of this article. ONLF still respects that. Whats so difficult to understand that the somali ethiopian can choose to stay in the federal ethiopia. Of course we can never agree on the numbers or percentage of people supporting that, but it is no less than the Walwal conference 60 years ago. In today's ethiopia, there is no force that will keep a small(number) ethnic by force, let alone the somali. We all need to step back and think of all the possible options and reality on the ground. Paragon Posted November 20, 2006 ^^Ern, sorry mate. Two things cannot be bejuxtaposited; Somali and Ethiopian, in the same way you cannot juxtaposition South to North. Nope. It aint happening. For now, let us agree that there is an ethnic Somali group under an Ethiopian occupation; in short, the occupied peoples of Somalia.
