Somalia's sports ministry announces resolution of SFF dispute

Mogadishu (HOL) - The Somali Ministry of Youth and Sports has resolved the leadership crisis in the Somali Football Federation (SFF), which has been facing uncertainty since the controversial leadership election held in late February. After months of factional infighting and uncertainty, Ali Shiino has been officially recognized as the chairman. A ceremony to unite the conflicting parties within the SFF and end the current dispute will be held soon. Mohamed Barre, the Minister of Sports for the Somali government, confirmed that 80% of the conflict that arose during the SFF leadership election had been resolved.
