Xarago Posted October 22, 2004 Britain yesterday called for speedy relocation of the new Somali Government from Nairobi to Mogadishu. The Secretary for African Affairs, Mr Chris Mullin, said the international community should help the new President, Abdullahi Yusuf Ahmed, take control of his country. "The President should secure his territory. He should be in charge of his country," said Mullin. The new government, he said, would get more support when itstarts operating from Somalia. The minister said he would tour Somaliland today, to help in the process of integrating the Somali government. Earlier in the week, Mullin met members of the Somali Parliament who are currently working from Nairobi. He is expected to meet Ethiopian Prime Minister Meles Zenawi during his tour of the region. Sources said he would ask Ethiopia to support the new government. Somaliland, a province of the larger Somalia, was under British rule before independence while the larger Somalia was under the control of Italy. Analysts believe the self-declared independent Somaliland and Ethiopia hold the key to restoring and order in Somalia. Some Somali warlords have in the past accused landlocked Ethiopia of allegedly taking sides and fueling the war for its own interests. President Ahmed was elected early this month in the first post-war elections. He was sworn in at a colourful ceremony attended by 10 heads of state in Nairobi. Dear I rememebr you saying Abdullahi will never be president, are you now saying he will never be able to go to Mogadishu? Well I tell ya, the Somali government will be in Mogadishu when its ready, not when Xarago and her former masters want it. Also, Abdullahi is your presidnet. Sharif Xasan is your parlimentery speaker, and Buuba is your MP for D north. And dont worry soon you will be able to visit your capital Mogadishu, just like any other citizen. Am more than welcome in Xamar Cadde rather than you and the Colonel... . And Abdullahi becoming a president is not cause of his tactics or your 'predictment' as you heroicly claim. But the doing and the squabbles and mistrust among the Mogadishu Warlords or should I say the previous united clans under USC. They have re-written history and labeled themselves as stooges. Am not sure they realised what they were doing or the cosequences of their votes, one thing for sure though the negative impact of their unwise vote is homing into them now, we will just have to wait and see Mr.Smith... Dear your only interest lies in the failure of Somaliweyn and the success of your clan. How selfish, how arrogant of you. Now as for the clan you have insulted as "stooges" they are going to get what is their right, the PM will go to them, they are the majority in the capital and they will do very well in the federal state. Considering these factors how are they at a loss?? Somalias clans have found a formula in wich everyone is equal [apart from the 0.5], even in language May is equal to Maxateri. What I laugh at is the sheer desperation from the North Westerners , in which they hope, even wish for clan warfare amongst their Somali kin. So they can once again say look at the reer Konfur, look how idiotic they are. Well that wont happen INSHA ALLAH, this government is more that Yey, its more than his clan, they only got 12 MP's out of 275.
