Thierry. Posted December 14, 2008 Lets not jump the gun lads it has to go through parliament and as you know the dismissal has already been rejected once. But why select a new PM if you don’t have the legal mandate to get rid of the existing one. Either he does not know a thing about rule of law or he is getting pretty desperate>
Paragon Posted December 14, 2008 Cade can't be sacked legally, waa runtii sxb. But Odeygu wants to play a dirty game, as usual and kill the hopes of many Somalis. Waa caadadiisa.
dhulQarnayn Posted December 14, 2008 To ThierY: Odayga wuxuu ku kalsoonyahay barlamaanka iney ku raacayaan arintaan. I don't think he would have put himself out there if he wasn't confident of the support of a majority in the Parliament. AFP reported the following: Yusuf expressed confidence that parliament would validate his decision. "Most of the parliamentarians will endorse my decision to dismiss the prime minister," Yusuf said. "Should parliament reject my desire to look for a new prime minister, I will comply with their decision and the current government will continue its tenure," he added. According to the transitional federal charter, the president alone does not have the power to sack the prime minister, but needs the parliament's approval. dhulQarnayn  Republic Of California
Libaax-Sankataabte Posted December 14, 2008 I am getting feeds that Gacmodheere is the strongest candidate for the post. Nuur Cadde's sub-clan in Mogadishu is doing a heavy lobbying for the position to stay within their sub-clan. Yeey is very confident the MPs will approve the sacking. We shall see. NGONGE Posted December 14, 2008 You've got to admire the old man's BIG cojones. Short of an assasination attempt I really don't think he's ever going to let go. Still, if he does get his wish, I wonder where that will leave that peace caravan!
