Mogadishu (HOL) - Record-high numbers of people are in need of humanitarian aid across the world, according to a press release from the United Nations. As a result, the UN Secretary-General, António Guterres, has announced the largest-ever allocation of US$250 million from the Central Emergency Response Fund (CERF) to help the most vulnerable people in some of the most forgotten crises and to stave off famine.
