Sky Posted March 25, 2005 http://www.unicef.org/emerg/disasterinasia/24615_25685.html http://www.unicef.org/somalia/reallives_731.html did some googling, and i didnt know that xaafuun used to be the capital city of italian somaliland once and that mussolini visited it. there is a big factory with 8 stores! :eek: but is now only a carcass of itself like hotel al curuuba in muqdisho. and the greeks used to call xaafuun opone and its a place famous for its leopards that live in the mountains. and it has the title of the easternmost point of the whole african continent. and becuz its an island/peninsula it has some exclusive plants and wildlife. never knew such a tiny village has such a history nam sayin. it reminds of seylac, lost glory.
