Che -Guevara Posted November 8, 2007 "Riyaale was promised prolonged presidency in return for Somaliland's army presence in Mogadishu" Xabashis couldn't tame Mogadisho, how anyone else would?

NASSIR Posted November 9, 2007 Xubeer, don't you think this is the conspiracy theory of the Amhara who vehemently oppose the Federal System of Ethiopia?
Malika Posted November 9, 2007 ^Do you mean the Amhara National Democratic Movement? Which its critism of EPRDF[Meles Zenawi ruling party]lead to the deployment of a group of consultants led by Kemal Aba Jahlal[An Ethiopian Intellectual]to study a way out of southern Somalia.Apparenly the option they presented was to recognise Somaliland and give as much diplomatic and political cover as possible in AU and UN in order to create a counter balance to any problem that may arise in Southern Somalia.Which means if Ethiopia fully recognise Somaliland and convience friends in IGAD,AU and UN to follow suit,Somaliland's relation with Ethiopia will be at the highest and finest point of cooperation, coupled with their economic ties. Therefore, after the recognition, if Ethiopia pulled out of Southern Somalia, as an internationally recognized independent state, Somaliland will become a counterbalance to the Southern Somalia to watch over it and restrain Southern Somalis, if they become hostile towards Ethiopia. Are these just rumours?,but as the swahili saying..Lisemwalo lipo ama lakuja[someone translate..Lol] Am sure they have stricked deals the TFG has with Ethiopia, this reminds me of Laba Xiniiood metaphorical[sheeps and Goats] article on the general section. Or It could it be Ethiopia is revenging for 1977 when the Somalia army marched all the way to Nazareth 150 kilometres from Addis? It looks like Ethiopia is taking advantage of our worse times in our History as we did of theirs, during the Mengistu era. Ethiopians were divided and weak, people were fleeing their homes, and young people were being slaughtered..as we marched through their towns...Ah! see history in contrast here? The ball of uncertanity keeps rolling, hagee noo dambeeyn is the million dollar question
Liqaye Posted November 9, 2007 Originally posted by Xubeer: ^^Its not about quelling things, but about involving others. So as to increase the resevoir of ill feeling among somalis. When ever I tell somalilanders will never see a kulmiye government they go into all sorts of political calculations, in the end kulmiye for the Ethiopians is a semi fifth coloumn for unity with somalia or atleast the old time religion of somali pride and midnimo, and are therefore to unpredictable to become the ruling party of somaliland. Xuubeer I would not be suprised either.
Paragon Posted November 9, 2007 Caamir, Lol. And how does this become a conspiracy theory by the Asmara group. If any, these predictions spells the worst for the Asmara group. So I wouldn't think they'll be dishing out such stories, because nothing good would come out of it. PS: Trust me, if they ever do, Puntland would be in the top of their list (Maakhir next? Kidding). Dahia Al Kahina, well said sister. I think you are on point. At least I would've have thought of this possibilities in a way similar to your view. LIQAYE, sxb waa runtaa. Somalia hana hoos joogto amba ha isku qaraxdo ayay Amxaarka wacad ku martay. And for sure they'll make good their evil machinations.
