Dirty politics of Kulmiye to disinfranchise the people of Laascaanood and deny the opposition to gain a large portion of the vote. I have seen this game in Sanaag few years ago when simple clan issue was used for political purposses. Galbeedi, sxb don't be naive. The goal of the hardcore secessionists is to either control the local populace or eliminate them if they prove to be uncontrollable. Here's the true sentiment of hardcore ideologues

AhmedGuled Posted December 30, 2022 Its fake that Laascaanood is a Dulba-clan only city. The people fighting their are those wishing to start a civil war in Somaliland and make problems for us. The Somaliland government will not tolerate civil disturbance from evil people wishing to bring harm to the peace of Somaliland.

Samafal Posted December 30, 2022 Allaha unaaxariisto dadka masaakiinta ah oo meesha ku dhintay. If mudaharaad don't stop things will dramatically change. There is already war drums going on in Garowe and Buhodle. Today angry demonstrators stormed Ahmed Karaash's house in Garowe. But real turn around that will change status quo is if SSC militia in Lasanod switch sides. There is a report one of the militia leaders have already moved his men outside Lasanod.
baala xoofto Posted December 30, 2022 I find it quiet hilarious that some folks here believe Women and Children sent to the streets will force Somaliland retreat. It will be a cold day in hell. Women and Children will be given time to vent. Some of their concerns are well founded but the fact that Anti-Somaliland elements want to take advantage of those concerns, will not be tolerated. The current plan is to make sure key gov't installations are safe and sound. However, the next few weeks, a lot of changes will take place including more police presence in the suburbs. Also manned checkpoints on key roads will be established.
baala xoofto Posted December 30, 2022 I am also finding the booto-booto from the defeated lot from Puntland as equally amusing. Somaliland will not start new round of war, but we will certainly not only defend but also gain new grounds.

It became the deadliest city, second only to Mogadishu in terms of people targeted for killing. The Somaliland security forces seem to be supervising the killings of the people. It is all about sinster politics. We all remember the Sanaag clan war sponsored by the government which raged for years until it achieved its goal. A stable Laascaanood voting as they wish could change the balance of power, and that is bad for the Hargeisa clique. This could explain a number of things.
