MoonLight1 Posted February 8, 2010 Gen Morgan in the deep south frontieres, Gen Galaal in Guriceel Frontier, and tonight on Universal tv General C/Qaadir Subxaanyo was telling Hereri to expect big war, What are they planning, With the Government drumming for war it seems they are planning to open multiple fronts on Alshabab then capture Mogadishu easily. and the 60 thousand dollar question is, will the Ethios enter the war this time directly? Paragon Posted February 12, 2010 This war has been in the pipeline for sometime now. Remember the meeting of former Somali Generals in the US? That kicked it off and operations (allegedly headed by the CIA) kicked off plots in neighbouring regions. Expect a war - 'a war to end all wars' as IR theorists would say. Cowke Posted February 12, 2010 The old generals are planning their strategies. Gen Morgan has been long training up soldiers for 6 months and more in kenya. His eyes are on kismayo and bringing it under federal somalia. So far it's good, the milliondollar question is when the attacks will occur? I doubt ethiopia will enter into the battle and if they do it will be momentarily to shift the balance in favor of the tfg. But I doubt any permanent stay of ethiopia is possible because shabab will change over to insurgency attacks. To defeat an insurgency you need a competent intelligence organization, the tfg lacks this!!! therefore it would not be in their interest in fighting an insurgency war with shabab!!! for intelligence organization to be successful u need citizen cooperation without that, your intelligence organization is fruitless!!! The tfg has been building up its miltary and not it's intelligence gathering sector. So this appears to be traditional battle which the tfg wants to get into rather then the hit and run attacks. If ethiopia comes and settles in somalia again the tfg knows the citizens wont cooperate with them anymore and therefore shabab will be succssful in carrying out hit n runs on ethio and tfg soldiers.
