Garowe: Hero Abdullahi Yusuf Ahmed returns an elder I am glad to be home PICS

NGOONGE: Mudane Abdullahi Yusuf has decided to retire and play the role of an elder. He has had a four decade long, blazing tough career and needs the rest. The Puntland lions need to step up.

This is really sad.

It is sad, indeed to see a president[of a country] being forced to resign and he has no choice but to do so. Imagine, the power those people have on Somalis!

And you people are rejoicing? I am not. for there is nothing to rejoice[& i am on record here and elsewhere opposing this president] :(

Farax Brown: Adeer spare us the timid attempt at humor. President Yusuf has returned home a hero and has left the political arena for those who think they can do better. Today he is in Garowe, retired and is the first President in Somalia after the war to leave the game on top.

Wonderful historic moment and now it’s the age of Puntland…

We lost great president, great leader, great wadani, great man indeed, we lost Diktoore El Presidente Abdullaahi Yusuf.

It will take another 20 years to find a leader like him!

^^^if you say so mate, Yusuf is a legend and he is back in the base. Nothing his detractors can do.. Now lets see what the hero's of the opposition do, it was real easy to make snide comments people, now lead.

Duke, there is nothing humorous really. No need to spin this.

I am just looking @ the bigger picture here bro.It is sad when a president of an entire nation is forced out and there is nothing he can do about it. Can you imagine what those people are capable of doing?

Mr Funky Brown, go ahead and entertain yourself with TOLKA-ROCHESTER talking points if it makes you feel better.

The fact still remains the same: Yeey was asked to work with Nuur Cadde and drop his new PM or else he will be "seen as an obstacle to peace".

He chose to resign instead because he didn't want to work with the incompetent Nuur Cadde.

We all know AU, IGAD and all other bodies were begging Yeey to stay and wait for the Djibouti agreement to take hold. Even HornAfrique's bloved anti-Yeey website GEDONET.COM has reported the fact that AU/IGAD didn't want Yeey to resign.

Go ahead. Feed yourself with clanish nonsense. Memomize tolka talking points and repeat them here if it is any good for you. :D

Nuune, adeer no one knows what you are talking about, Puntland is central to the Yusuf story and when we get our troops back its over for the secessionist day dreams in SOOL as it was under Yey. :D

1. What did he accomplished as the "President of Somalia" for the hero welcome in Garowe?

2. Did he stepped down on his own or was he forced to leave the game?

campaigned for McSame, so what. To be in politics means you are in office or running for one.

That is unfair to G.W ... he is as incompetent and ineffectual a leader as dubya was ... but say what you will about dubyah but at least he is a patriot who loves his country and 99% percent of his stup!d decision where made on that bases.

something very lacking in yey

I am saying he was forced out,you are saying he resigned. OK then i will go with your word.He resigned,he was not forced out. In which case, my argument becomes Moot. There are no powers controlling Somalia and hence the president resigned by himself. Sure, lets move on...

Nuune,The people am talking about, are those that have allegdly asked Hon.Yusuf to resign and will probably choose his replacement.

So,L
