General Duke Posted September 15, 2007 ^^Adeer the deaths in Mogadishu and siplacement that has been taking place for 17 years is a tragedy to us all. Those who wnat to continue war, like Xasan Dahir should bare the blame. The TFG is on route to ending the war that started in 1991. Those who benefited from it and laundhed the recent clan Jihad should be asked, what price they are willing to pay.
RedSea Posted September 15, 2007 However you fail to see that tragedy cannot end unless the cause of the problem is rooted out. In this case it's the warlords such as those among the TFG as well as the involvement of outside power like Ethiopia which has very much been involved in the somali affairs in not so good way offcourse. We are talking about the civil war era. Those are the trouble makers, unless they are brought to justice, then don't expect peace to prevail anytime soon. Moreover, the TFG cannot bring any peace to any somali household. They simply aren't capable of it. Else they would have proven anything in their nearly three years of 'existance'. General Duke Posted September 15, 2007 ^^Adeer your absolutes are as irrelevent as the what you are arguing for. The TFG is in the process of resurecting the nation, its institutions external and internal. Its for incremental change, consensus and development from the bottom up. Also what was Xasan Dahir, but the occupier of lower Shabbele, who was IndaCade, Goobanle, Seeraar if not the very example of warlords without a clue or even a real cause. Sharif Ahmed that you laud was a stooge of Mohamed Dheere, when Mohamed Dheere was getting support from Ethiopia. We can go on and on, even Hussain Aydeed who was sacked by the TFG is embraced by these groups. They have emraced a coptic christan as savour [Aferwaki], they have also embraced a secular constitution, thus proving their whole agenda of religion was as false as a secessionists concerns for Mogadishu. Security will come when these armed groups are defeated and that will happen insha Allah as our security apparatus gets more established.
