Yes it works.I swear by it but people skins have different reactions to the oil so maybe you need to try something different that is more tailored to your skin.

Bio-Oil gave me one of the biggest scars on my body. I had a small burn scar and someone told me this product was the bomb. I used it for one day, 5years later, I still have the scar it left. *Try it on a small surface first*, it burn my skin, I got huge-rash-like spots, that looked like burn blister marks. It was a painful expereince.
