The PIS is becoming stronger and stronger every single day, they are by far the best trained, armed and funded security force in Puntland. They receive the highest pays and I can honestly say they dress and act professional. They are constantly training. I think these guys attacked someone that use to be with them because they know the response if they took the PIS on face to face.

 

They look like some serious guys that mean business.

 

Insh'Allah they will open up bases throughout the state and bring security back to order like they have in Bosasso. Then head to Eyl and other pirate area's and shut them down.

I've seen them with my own eyes and have met some of their members. So I know way better then you do, who and what they are. What these guys were a few years back and what they are now is indescribable they have seemed to have learned from attacks and have adapted themselves very well. The weapons supplied to them are not typically seen in Somalia. Their soldiers do some tough physical fitness training as well.

 

You might not care much about peace gained through security but in Puntland we do. Like i've said before, peace is the number one priority for everyone.

Thankful, I am not sure if you being paying attention to the pirate-news lately, but if you actually read it all the attacks have been happening outside of puntland, specifically "harar-dheere".

 

It appears the pirates have shifted base. Infact AFP did a piece the other day mentioning harar-dheere as the pirate capital now.

 

So yeah I don't think many pirate attacks will happen in puntland anymore, that is just my gut-feeling. But that don't mean pirates have stopped, NOT AT ALL. They simply just moved base to somewhere that will occupy their activities.

 

As you probably are aware, the pirates are not just 1 tribe, they are conglomerate of clans who united for a business adventure, therefore if one place is shut down them on them, other members of their group of different clans can take them to their degaan and the cycle continues.

PIS is the secret service organ of the state, as the state gets stronger so does th PIS. Now the complaints from anti Puntland groups agaisnt this entity highlights how effectve they have become.
