5 Posted December 9, 2007 Kool Kat - feeling hunger is a physical thing, just like feeling pain. You don't need language or even thought for that matter, to experience a feeling. However processing the feeling needs thinking. So a baby can feel hunger without actually having to think about it. When it feels it has to do something about it, that is when it starts (has started) thinking. But what is a thought? Nehada - can you think without language?
