I dont know that well for Laftagreen, how smart he is, but he has a real opportune now to become the new Madoobe. A thorn on the Federal Government eyes. And as result prolong his stay in power.

He has all his stars lining up, but not sure if he can take advantage of the situation.

Addis and Mogadishu are not friendly as before. Also, Ethiopia, for the first time, its security is been threaten not only by alshabaab but Somalia Federal Government who align themselves with Egypt and as a result or coincidently Alshaab infiltrating into Ethiopia. Naturally, Ethiopia would want to get a buffer zone and laftagreen a protection. It works both of them. Time will tell. And all of this HSM and Somali people are the losers.

Laftagareen is an RRA veteran who had not left Soomaaliya in the last 30 years, so you can guess meesha been been uguma tagaayo. I would not brag about Caydiid and his murderous march. Besides. Caydiid died in clan skirmishes offed by his own. He left no legacy while today, Southwest state is right next to Xamar.

If HSM is bright man, he should engage with Laftagareen before the enemies of Somalia including Ethiopians move in.

It's to pressure HSM in formal way but obviously they had presence for long time. They probably will do same thing with Pland, Galmudug and other states and even send delegates to Hargeisa.
