peace be upon my fellow nomads

 

when you heard the word, 'Border' or when you heard the somali world 'Silsilad' what comes to your mind?

 

1. Walls

2. Barriers

3. Boundrys

4. Chains

5. Jail

 

how about; Nationalism? Tribalism?

 

the Somali people are in chains, we are chains at the end of the Indian Ocean. and it is not us but the whole Islamic World. its only the chains that are different.

 

it is said that, 'the body of the african americans use to be slaves but their mainds were free, now their body is free but their brain is enslaved'

 

the same thing is true about us somalis and the islamic world. 'we were colonized, but our minds were free, now we are free but our minds are colonized'.

 

you see, read, watch this on the news daily, Iraq was attacked and the rest of the arab states and muslim states watched, cause there is a border that seperates them, you see the tanks of Israel enter the cities of palestine, demolish their dwelings, kill them and the rest of their fellow brothern watch cause their is an elution created to seperate them so that it is easier to kill one sheep when it is alone.

 

you see it in somalia, one people who share the same language, culture, religion, destroy eachother, brother fighting brother, father against son. Their brains are chained with silsilad qabaaiil but their hands are free to commit unimaginable crimes.

 

I ask you, the future of Somalia, when will you personaly free yourself from these chains? when will you start practicing your religion if you call yourself Islam? when will you become free from the elusions of this world that will only last 2 nights?

 

The keys to all these chains are in the Qur'an and Sunnah! it is only up to you and me to hold these keys and open our hears and minds from all chains that enslave us, these borders that divide us.
