galbeedi Posted June 12, 2022 In 2012 an Awdal state leader met in Mogadishu with Shariif Ahmed. He told about the ijustices of Somaliland and the four Awdalites murdered in Gabiley. Shariif told him, " Afar qofle maa sheegaysa, waar meeshaan 50 ayaa todobaadkii lagu dilaa". Duufaan try to workout something with your cousins in Puntland. They are the ones who are refusing to let you go. From our side, I rather deal with the SNM Habro than Mahad Salaad and the ganga in Mogadishu. If nothing changes, Afar sano oo khasaartay iga dheh. Galbeedi With our geography location we have to be bad boys before we can be good boys again. For Moqdisho I agree, we can give a break Mahad Salad and Mahad Karate and IC to deal each other. Those who want the return of the 1960 type of union again but different version of of it - are minority voices. @Che -Guevara I can’t really tell where people stand, for that you would need an actual sensible, open and informed debate, which I haven’t seen so far. Chanting the same prattle, emotional extortion and accusing everyone who doesn’t chant with you, kills any opportunity for a debate. let’s see where this school of thought will lead to. What you just tweeted about is local news. A demonstration took place and some people got injured. That sort of news plays out all around the world every single day. Arafaat Posted June 12, 2022 20 hours ago, baala xoofto said: Russia is all but done with. It is a shell of its former self. They are screaming like a third-world country to let ease the sanctions placed on her. Sooner or later Putin will be taken care of from within. The AUKUS alliance has no match in this world. China will be contained under the "Quad Alliance" (US+JP+AU+IN) + EU. In the next 10 - 20 years, the US and UK dominance will be cemented. Hands down. Somaliland has plugged itself into this alliance along with Taiwan. We are in good company. Change is in the air, and nobody knows for certain how that change will look like or if a recalibration of the order will take place. Just look at Somalia’s neighbours across the Gulf and how they are trying to forge new alliances, as they have seen that no distant muscle power can forever provide security guarantees. And look at our immediate neighbours Djibouti, Ethiopia and Kenya, after decades of western security and economic support, they all have engaged and build alliances with competing powers despite pressure. Don’t assume to know where things are heading when nobody does, and one should absolutely try to avoid getting sucked up in great power play as we can’t comprehend what is at stake. Meaning that the best course of action would be to deepen its existing western economic and political relations, but to stay away from inviting foreign militaries to the country as you would entangle yourself without having a clue as this could easily incite to more competing interventions and lead to domestic destabilisation, what you also see in Somalia.
