Changed Posted August 5, 2004 HIV/AIDs is a sexual transmitted disease we all know that but like someone said people can get it from needles.I have heard of tons of cases were people had been infected with HIV cuz they went to a hospital and got blood transfusion. We need to worry about enlightening people of the disease. Go to the united nation website and type in HIV in somalia; you will find out that the AIDS rate has increased from .002% to 2% since 1989. Now two percent might not be a huge number to you guys but its a drastic change for our society. More than half of the people infected with HIV dont even know it and they spread it to their mates. we all know somalis back home dont use protection; increasing the chances for a rapid increase of HIV AND AIDS a woman in somalia said she cant get AIDs because the disease is for the kufaars. That should be awake up call for all of us; reminding us how people back home dont know much about HIV and AIDS and how their strong faith might lead to their destruction. I dont think its time to point finger
Wiilo Posted October 7, 2004 Playmaker, absolutly right, but Aids is not oly that ppl get from innercourse, but there are many ways that ppl get the disease, for instance, needles, and blood transfusion, son on. So, you cannot just say that AIDS is only transmitted through innercourse. You are also right, Allaah qofkii ka cabsadaa kuma dhaco Aids, waa markii aan ka hadalno (innercourse). Aids waa cudur aad iyo aad u xun Allaah ha inaga koriyo dhammaanteen. Wabillaahi Towfiiq:
