This time it is different. East Sanaag as a clan want to take their historical role in Somaliland, as an important clan both in terms of urbanisation and economy. 

We welcome this and Somaliland as a nation is equal before everyone. You just have to do your best to in the competition and you shall reap the rewards of your efforts.

This comes after realisation that they, as a clan, have no political significance in PL, in SL or in Mogadishu. And the fact that PL itself is in decline phase and has no feasible outlook that things will get any better there if not get worse. 

This is their last chance to board the Somaliland train which is in full steam ahead both in its economic outlook, it is diplomatic outlook and its miilitary prowess. 

Somaliland only needed political support at the clan level before it moves into new regions and delivers tangible changes both in terms of service delivery, security and governance/authority.

LOL. At one point I thought you were talking about Somaliland . It is in decline. H@bro are in each other's loggerheads and politically unstable.The economy is suffering due to high inflation and hard hitting drought. You can forget about Ictiraaf as no one even talks about it anymore. 

Puntland on the other hand is rising. Dani is strengthening his stronghold on Buhodle and recently sent  there well trained police and Daraawiish soldiers. Big towns are seeing big development projects. The budget has tripled to nearly half a billion for the first time. The state is in peace from Galkacyo to Gardafu. You can not compare to the secessionists who spend their money on Khat and who can not build one bridge of their own unless they ask a foreign country a hand out.

What can Somaliland offer WarsanEnter that they have not offered before? They trained and paid their 3000 soldiers for years and then when it came to it they refused to attack their towns and people. They surrendered to Puntland with their spoils of cash and weapons. They are now part of Puntland's regular army that are keeping the Somalilanders from Badhan to Ceeldahir.

These elders will enjoy the moment and attention given to them by the secessionists for a while and will go back to their villages and will not extend one arm for Somaliland. It is not the first time the Sultan Abdisalam went to Hargaisa so it is not different this time around.
