Will the recently (s)elected Xasan Sheekh Maxamuud follow tradition that started with C/qaasin Salaad Xasan in 2000. The tradition is every (s)elected new president to go Baydhabo as their first domectic trip.

It seems one is prioritising domestic visits and support above the usual foreign visits that were often prioritised above in-country visits, which is a welcome change.

This is probably one of the political strength of Hassan Sheikh to sit down his perceived opposition. Farmaajo would never go to Kismaayo  or any place where he had disagreements. It seems Hassan Sheikh has confidence to sit down with any Somali.

Also, there are rumors about an opposition forming headquartered in Baidoa. I even heard about enlarging the southwest to add Gedo and middle Jubba. Hassan Sheikh must stay away any group that is trying to unseat C/caziiz Laftagareen if he wants to have a peace of mind from the South west.

Hope they succeed working together for the good of the country. Laftagareen seem very decent human being.

Even if Xasan Sh. wanted to push Laftagareen, it wouldn't be possible. Unlike corrupt Shariif Xasan who was pushed out quickly, Laftagareen has thousands of loyal army, trained by Ingiriiska. He is also an RRA veteran.

Corrupt Shariif Xasan did not trust clan army of his since his clan are not traditionally armed ones, so he never built one and did not care any development of KG, instead investing his ill-gained money in Turkiga, Kiinya iyo Imaaraadka. One classic point is the failure of Baraawe airport, which he pocketed the funds and the poorly-built, sand-covered runway is there all to see.

By the way, suddenly Sh. Aaden Madoobe and Laftagareen are close now, due to encroachment of Maxamed Cismaan Jawaari, who is very close to Xasan Sheekh and wants to get back his seat. Sh. Aaden Madoobe and Xasan Sh. suddenly are not trusting one another.

Nice, What makes this structure beautiful is not even its look / or design. It's the surroundings and that crisp Azure blue sky...Somalia Dhulka adunka ugu qurqoox + Dadka adunka ugu liita...

You know, Shirwac, madaxtooyada labaad ee Soomaaliya ku taali jirtay Baydhabo. Meel beeraha (Beeraha Carabta) ka sareyso ku taali jirtay, oo aqal weyn shub ah ahaa oo aad u qurxoon. It is even beautiful than this one and was surrounded by farms, Isha Baydhabo and large qumbo trees. Its foundation still stands. Siyaad Barre nasashada u aadi jiray.

If I was Laftagareen, taas ayaa dayactiri lahaa instead of building this one because meel sare leer leh ayee ku taalaa.

Lafta Gareen needs to free Reer Koonfur Galbeed from Alshabaab so that they can send their kids to schools and the region can prosper. In other words niikedii Farmaajo waa dhamaatay he needs to hold free and fair selection process when his term ends at end of the year.

The old days, the best place to live in Somalia were Moqdisho, Baydhabo and Hargeysa because of the weather and culture. Laftgreen must open the roads and build Baraawe port. It will make southwest political and economic center. The villa needs a bigger sign "Villa KGS'?

Agree, all these small developments is nothing compared the damage  carrying out by the evil group Shabaab,  first,  second, third and fourth priority should be getting rid off this stage 4 cancer.
