BOB Posted February 17, 2006 I'm a Somali but to others a declared savage greed infested hearts driven to take my soul my heart mourns and sinks into the darkness many watched the execution of their loved ones beloved mothers, fathers, sisters and brothers and called it a war the innocent children that they killed cried in fear the ones who fought to resist died of their daily terrors they raped and burned those who were of beauty I need an action to kill my past nightmares and bury my sorrow selfish men never kept their promises to the motherland all the lies and treaties they gave never held true care they not of the suffering Somali souls that's you & me tired of seeing my kind's bodies sway as they start to choke with hunger i sit at the top of the mountain with a heart full of pain i feel the earth & the sky cry as I try to reason with my destiny my heart tells me to fight on but I am afraid we wont win better to die with honour than with the shame of being a refugee i help myself to my feet as i dance with the peaceful wind the battle cry is one that stands out as I remember many fallen friends these evil men will never keep their word so we must stay and fight he who has tried to destroy our beautiful Somali name though their guns are mighty and cause much death and destruction we MUST ignore the pain and stand tall and be proud of being SOMALI. May God Bless My Somali People and Somalia for it Hurts being a Somali... Peace,Love & Unity.

BOB Posted February 20, 2006 I hail from the ancient land where poverty chose to reside where ignorance infested minds tell deceitful tales i swim in the waters where sharks and crocodiles dread to bath where the soil is forced to bear the fruits of raped innocence. I hail from the land where poetry is imprinted on your conscience where poets paint picture perfect paradise inside hell with spoken word where the greatest of minds came to embrace a lonely death. I hail from the land where mothers feed their offspring with hatred where fathers shed the blood of their loved ones to quench the thirst of the devil they openly worship. I hail from the land where love betrayed the last heart that believed in it where romancing the dead became the daily deed of the living where death is celebrated and mourned at birth. I hail from the land where pharaohs came to rest and labeled it the best where African dignity was conceived by the blood of the Darwish warriors where love used to graze under the stars of brotherhood galaxy. I hail from the land where I was born to learn how to earn my peers learned to murder for the dime my friend earned. I hail from the land where miracles come at a price only the poor can afford where hunger and starvation became the remedy for the soul where death and destruction became our legendary international anthem. I hail from the land where dying young became part of parental prayers where reaching puberty is a blessing only few live to rejoice. I hail from the land where bullets rain and death reigns supreme where my mother wept at my sight every time I laid my head on her lap where my father prayed for my peaceful departure before the pain of my demise. Now go on and Guess where I hail from. Peace,Love & Unity.
BOB Posted February 24, 2006 Luck Be a Lady Tonight: Bless the parents that led me from infancy to manhood caress the many hearts that pounded with my love guide my wishes to heavens and ease my worries set my dreams free and paint my pain in rainbow colours heal my deeply hidden scars and wash my sorrow away let my mind wander in distant lands where I am expected place my hopes for a better tomorrow in my destiny's palms prevent my heart from bitterness for life is too short protect me from the dark shadows that are stalking me let not my mind drift into the uncertainty of idleness keep my cherished thoughts from the lure of the wicked unleash my restricted soul and help me retain it guide my spirit to the sacred temple of god’s kingdom carry my legacy to the golden palaces of humanity Put my name beneath the noble mentor that's my father kiss the feet of the humble flower that's my beloved mother place the crown of dignity upon the head of my sisters put the burden of fellowship upon the shoulders of my brothers deliver my friends from the womb of grace & togetherness for I finally found my life's purpose and to God I am grateful. BOB Posted February 26, 2006 Somali Woman: I wore your love today like a raggedy coat for the feel how warm it once used to be I wore your dignity beneath the tattered veil of darkness far from the glaring bright stars in the night sky I wore you today until touch reduced to the wetness of a crumbled note left in your frail and tiny hands I wore your unmistakable scent in today but I am yet to taste the sweetness of your wet lips head covered and eyes lowered to the grounds charging up on the velvet hills of uncertainty, I see you with a warm and genuine smile that belies your steel will at dawn I see you with a baby on your solid Somali back sweating for your siblings when draught attacks, I see you the kiss of honour became the marks left by your fading foot prints your veins as fists clenched with the burden of being a Somali woman you fight for our Somali family and I for its legacy you give grace to this deadly third world stench my life is the fruition of unending and tense prayers by women submitted to the annals of anonymity choice is the ME in you while the voice is the YOU in me. BOB Posted February 27, 2006 Luck Be a Lady Tonight: Part 2 Today I wished for happy thoughts and prayed for Paradise today I dreamt of happy visions painted in bright colours today I hoped for hope to carry my aspirations to heavens today I imagined my soul as a flowing river with no boundary today I cursed my luck for being my faithful companion today I spoke ill of my destiny for killing the joy of being me today I am ashamed of the shadows that follow me faithfully today I sulked at the sight of how sorry my soul looks today I failed to settle the debt owed me by despair today I lowered my head with shame for one last time for tonight I will pray to my creator for a peaceful tomorrow tonight I will aim higher and reach greater heights tonight my head will sail into depth of my beautiful imaginary scenes tonight my heart will rejoice and glow with new life tonight my mind will over flow with righteous thoughts tonight I will be my shooting star and brighten my galaxy tonight I will conquer my fears and raid my sorrow tonight I will converse with my future and question the past tonight I will lay sleep and dream of heaven like visions for tonight the sky is fully decorated with the moon and the stars. BOB Posted March 4, 2006 My Soulful Sermon: If dreams were colours and daises the soil that's my motherland know I would paint its walls with sacred visions I would never be alone for I would present my feathers in heaven with memories and joyful celebrations bound together if our children lived on colours maybe things would've been better if dreams equaled royalty my kind would've held the throne if legends were to live forever I would live long enough to see the day my neighbour's house is as big as my heart if I had any tears left in these eyes of mine I would shed them neither for my soul nor for hell I would bestow that blessing upon my battered & bruised own kind if I ever dream big may my people reap it's bountiful reward I dream to trigger a renaissance rooted in our religious values upon which my Islamic culture and somali nation is built my peace & love be the first step along the path of reform toward a joyful present and prosperous future for my kind. BOB Posted March 10, 2006 Written By : Ismail Yusuf "Babylon" a former Double D. Lost and backtracked in shadows of the past where voices are lost in an infinity of darkness trapped in a void that can never be tapped hiding away with no light to spark it carried away on the palm of the lost heat of the living, far and forgotten buried today under the frozen earth deep with frost the thump in my chest, long gone and rotten no one can find those lost in their thoughts waiting for this torture to come to a close soon I will be judged on my life that was naught but a premature destiny never to unfold my soul seems cold the love faded black no one there to hold except a bruised back beaten over personality and quick reactions how can my life be the best with out me? I only look back to my childhood for satisfaction ridiculed over things i say and thrashed on things i do God if you hear me..i pray you help me please as i silently scream out for your most glorious name. BOB Posted March 24, 2006 Forever I search wishing forever is what I find i listen to the sugar merchant's tale a new found home after ours' decline for now is the time to set your sails assign your ports where you see fit and men shall trade upon your shores and they shall say.."God, this is it!" so take their tributes for they are yours you prosper as the day goes by and share whatever wealth received steer away from men who ill advise keep away from kings and queens deceived a word of caution to those who go let not the worldly riches let you rot I ask the merchant how he knows 'Masha Allah, how could I have not? i look towards the blood red sky for hope as I travel these fearful enchanting seas seeking forever hoping to find forever before dawn I rise to realize tranquility I found I stand before my creator and exclaim "Please forgive me".
