BOB Posted January 23, 2007 I DEDICATE this to the family members & the relatives I have lost in the recent war against Ethiopia and all the martyred brothers & sisters, May Allah s.w reward them all with Jannatul Ferdoz Insha Allah. Tell my family & friends when they look upon me dead weeping for me and mourning me in a painful sorrow do not believe that the corpse you see is I in almighty Allah's name, I tell you, it is not I I am a spirit and this is only a flesh it was my abode and my garment for a time I am a treasure by a talisman kept hid fashioned of dust which served me as a shrine I am a pearl which has left it's shelve deserted it was my prison where I spent my time in brief the place where i experienced my mother's grief like a captured bird this body was my cage I have now flown forth and it's left as a token Praise be to Allah who has now set me free and prepared for me my place in the highest of the heavens until today I was dead, though alive only in your eyes now I am in birth with the grave clothes discarded today I hold conversation with the saints above now with no veil between, I see Allah face to face I look upon the tablet and there in I read whatever was and is and all that is to be let my house fall in ruin; lay my cage on the ground cast away the talisman, it's a token no more lay aside my cloak, it was but outer garment place them all in the grave, let them be forgotten I have passed on my way and you're left behind your place of abode was no dwelling place for me think not that death is death nor it is life A life that surpasses all we could dream of here while in this world, here we are granted sleep death is but sleep, sleep that shall be prolonged be not frightened when death draws near it is but the departure for this blessed home think of the mercy and love of your lord give thanks for his grace and come without fear what I'm now, even so shall you be for you're even as I am the souls of all men came forth from Allah the bodies of all men came forth from Allah the bodies of all are compounded alike, good and evil alike i give you now a message of good cheer May Allah's peace and joy forever more be yours. Peace, Love & Unity.
BOB Posted January 23, 2007 My Dream: I dream of a life without death and sorrow a life where we know who's going to die tomorrow empty and pain will be feelings of the past where nobody comes in first or finishes last a life of hope and a life where time prevails life with no need of any information or any details money is not a need and everyone can read a life where the handicap by themselves can feed a life I can trust, a life filled with true love and not lust life that eats away at happiness without any rust nobody will curse and fuss, grudges will never be seen a child is born with a fate that hasn't been sealed a life where every broken heart will he healed by the magical touch in Allah's fingertips a life where Somali children will be born in peace no parent will bury their infants piece by piece a life where my people will unite in the name of Allah no more denying each other and share whatever we got a life where the homeless will own thousands of rooms where young Somali brides grow old with their chosen grooms in my dream I see my people loving themselves more putting Allah first before their deceiving false pride I dream of a life where we bury our hate instead of our sons when I finally find true love I shall spread it in tons poetry shows me this place in my mind's space when I dream. BOB Posted January 23, 2007 I seek refuge from my hurtful sadness caused by our madness where tragedies of our yesteryear still haunt our tomorrow hatred consumed our hearts and today shame is bemused infants are executed mercilessly and fairies abused openly a whole generation is reduced to a wandering mute ghost from the beginning of my being to my turf in the coast for those whose souls borrowed by the bloodthirsty evil sow the sorrow my fallen Somali nation reap today I grief in silence while watching motherland weep when the nation's once shining star fell from the blue sky we fell prey to the ungodly devil when we stopped praying we embarrassed kindness when we openly embraced cruelty drank from the poisonous & shallow wells of betrayal to watch our enemy devour us is what we chose gambled our dignity away and today we lost homeland I curse whose soul brought my kind's untimely demise may their eyes never find rest even in their sleep for they silenced my brotherly voice inside my sisters may the almighty resurrect the guardians of the beloved faith may he deliver us from the unjust of these times we live in. BOB Posted January 23, 2007 Somali Child: Their world divided in pieces people fighting against peace lost children of motherland their young life banished out here made pay by the devil's hands innocent infants die of unknown diseases they starve for greed of hatred shameful sights in my beloved Somalia makes reality seem so true I swear,I feel for every child whose life is left out there to rot evil, greedy and rich warlords sleep easy on God's destroyed castle is this world of ours so shameful? is it every man now for himself let rule by a face of dirty paper but how important is your wealth? I don't ask you to give in pity but to give only to the needy for rich men's wealth and greed I gaze on their faces of sadness of hunger hurt and ask...are we all heartless? but these children do not ask what worth their life is for? BOB Posted February 1, 2007 ...So I Live On The blunders of my forefathers became my fate's burden carrying the weight of their guilt on my innocent shoulders history paints the untold sins of the saints in my nation I was born peacefully before I bore my life's poison bred through poverty without the guilt of impure wealth shouldering the blame of my destiny's deteriorating health rejoicing the present laughter before the future sorrow painting my joyful mood with the colours of innocence floating through the calm wind under the grinning midnight moon while my dust decorated feet danced the night away child of greater SOMALIA I am with a soul that stood the test of time I shall LIVE ON to exist far beyond the darkness of today I aspire to resurrect the forgotten feeling of being one of a kind our wisdom diminished the day our poetic minds went numb disowning the gift to paint paradise with our ancient tongue abandoning our nomadic philosophy for an urban legend sacrificing our sense of ancestral being for illusion help me un-mute the silenced noble living inside of us I ought to wipe clean the walls of shame that bear our name for survival lies in the path that leads to our dignity's revival humbled by the peaceful ballads my dying kind mumble before I tumble with grief hear our NATION's stomach grumble. BOB Posted February 1, 2007 WordPlay: We used wordplay before the foreplay played mind games with no foul play mixed it with the spoken word to caress loosening up helped her release the stress she was shy and didn't ask her to impress her pretty eyes shut but awake is her beautiful mind the love session was indeed one of a kind her smooth body's temperature rose as she got hot like a volcano her soul suddenly erupted told her to enjoy it for we wont be interrupted she said it feels so good is that corrupted? i wanted to set her spirit & soul free how at times she tried to get up and flee i said forget the past this is a new beginning the day you'll finally be free and grinning this is only a wordplay and we're not sinning this isn't story but a love never to be re-written an innocent heart not meant to be smitten. I told her to lay across on the waiting bed uncross your body and let the words take over she didn't want us to finish before it was over i got more than enough for few more verses we stepped forward for we failed to reverse i went for the honey while she poured us milk we didn't wash and chose to leave the dishes in the sink on the dance floor she became a heavy breather i told her it was ok if she wanted to weep didn't hurt her but I had to dig and talk deep her body got tense from the slow dance she tried to catch her breath but not a chance didn't want her to be alarmed when she shivered because before the next chapter she would quiver she was at the mercy of the wordplay of the mind when we done she smiled & told me how I was kind. That is what Wordplay is capable of. Peace, Love & Unity.
BOB Posted February 1, 2007 The Majestic: Some say her deep words leave you hypnotic i thought they were only being sarcastic jealous friends accuse her of being toxic they say she's addictive like a narcotic they look down on her and call her pathetic they spread sick lies that make them sound lunatic they despise honey because she's not Cushitic they say she is only after my soul and wants to nick she is absolutely loyal and faithful with no dirty antic i can't deny this sweetheart is simply majestic they say she could set your soul off like a ballistic i admit she's tempting and her charm is magnetic they accuse her of turning me into a demonic what nobody knows is she is a true mystic they're reluctant to admit honey is a true relic they warn me never to take her out for a picnic they say she sticks to you like she was a mastic they say her knowledgeable thoughts are metric she's blessed indeed and truly and fully academic they say she may cause me a disease that's organic she loves it when I rub her smooth body with my pen Bic they don't know honey is my only cure when I am sick as long as I am here on this earth she is the one I pick and she will always be my fantasy come fantastic. That girl is POETRY. Peace, Love & Unity.
BOB Posted February 21, 2007 Motherland: Motherland wanted a water birth so dirt in exchange she wouldn't desert us when we cried just a mere grain of sand for our homeland pity the salt in her tears washed over her open womb though I was a child..i was alive and dried bones grown reciting verses from a note-worthy poem's tomb discarded and torn through the pages of history like the mystery murder of the unborn babies families and cities on the move towards misery forced me to write on graves and stoned ghosts in my beloved coastal city of Kismayo turned into caves my deceived nation remain slaves to a dead culture fed to vultures for guns and chains by few evil souls drugged villages and scholars slain to silence the truth bragging about whose crack came first and pure but what was Somali flesh before post-mortem has been stained red perfected into full Somali blood effect though is millions of microphones went unchecked I chose to be the one to resuscitate the buried mix tapes while they drunk with sleep and break of dawn gets carried away to the ashes of the devil's beat they fired like clay. BOB Posted February 21, 2007 The New World: This is a world of wonders and wizards a world of wishes and worshippers a world of miraculous and magnificent manners this is a new world where we live and die a world of scavengers and strangers a world where the lunatics become automatically healed where a person cant live without his or her roots a new world where patience and participation is needed not forgetting to add your own personality now I suddenly remember this is a new world not the previous one, not the one with happiness and harmony this is the final one, the unfortunate one which contains death and deadly diseases corruption, lies and nuclear pollution where the sinner is chosen before the saint where society prefers the illiterate to the articulate gangsters and thugs, robbers and rulers but only one thing is needed in order to survive trust your instincts and be a responsible human being no one will pave the way for you, pave it for yourself for this is a new world my dear Brothers & Sisters. BOB Posted February 21, 2007 The Unspoken Truth: I wash my soul in the calm rivers of humanity i cover my flesh with the skin of kindness enlighten my mind with my sweat's philosophy remind my heart about the joy tomorrow holds I am on a journey looking for my life's links I travel back in time to my forefather's past hoping to find my life's meaning at long last life is precious and faith in Allah (s.w) is a MUST my people carry my wishes inside of their hope unleash my dream and tie it not to nightmare's rope announce my joyous existence to the world keep my pain & sorrow hidden from my heart deny my eyes the pleasure to weep painful tears keep my name away from those that their blood be shed fate ought to see me to three decades and beyond guide my Somali peers to their lost paradise ease my pain...for today is an unknown gain ambition is making this mind of mine ache dreams are achievable yet mine are misleading and they wonder why my thoughts are bleeding! if I am to die before planting a human seed who's to carry my name with the pride of good deed? lay down my body on the shores of Somali unity sea let my soul rest on the waves in the ocean of peace I am no chauvinist only a proud Somalicist I strive to be a righteous Muslim & a noble Somali man praying to earn my creator's mercy and kindness in this world where souls are sold on cheap masses lost direction in search of wealth in heap fear of failure gives my brother a heartburn told to be brave ever since we were born they say fortune favours the mighty brave bravery only got my friend to an early grave I speak as I bear witness to my beloved brain leak today I am at the ultimate future and its bleak where kindness is seen as a sign of weakness broken home is where the majority hail from leading a life filled with sins and constant lies putting the deceitful devil into a shame right now Allah (s.w) will be nice for we DESPERATELY need him. May Allah (s.w) Guide Us All Through The Righteous Path Insha Allah. Peace, Love & Unity.
BOB Posted March 12, 2007 Time: Can you hear the chants of an ancient soul? damned and broken spirits out on weeping patrols voices of my slain Somali peers echo in my ears no measure of fame will ever tame my fears the concrete is alive saturated by lives leaked beneath the feet of victims past & eyes blinked hatred thrives when society pays it no mind rewind time to witness crimes no jury can find stitched into the fabric that joins time & space is the very thread sewn into the human race? disgrace the keepers of old like (Censored) for gold and you'll drown in the shallow pond of your mold breeched by the angry flight of predators at night despite lack of breath I fight to recite the prayer of last rite finally free from the worldly shackles that bind me my eyes open to a world that no longer blinds me... BOB Posted March 12, 2007 Speak: I sit in silence awaiting knowledge that is impossible to conceive trying to obtain these facts by listening to every detail as words go in one ear and out the other for they're just passing through if I take the time to perceive these facts it causes confusion among the feuding seasons preaching liars and enlightening poets like a pen running out of ink I have nothing else to give I am a shell containing purposeless hopes that I carry inside of my dream a genius among id!ots I pray not to be remain humble while being intelligent as possible for that wouldn't make me an outcast among the rest I speak from the heart while being at my best so I disguises myself not aware that as a result I loose my deep thoughts as I try to fit in this world's picture perfect puzzle releasing stress through this ancient spoken words this world's expectations break you down into the sands of time as I sit in silence awaiting nothing while hoping for everything falling through life in the moment of a blink of an eye without ever knowing that I had ever really been there confusion overwhelms my destiny without it ever knowing I do the noble thing by closing my mind's battered windows open up and bare my soul to the deafening silence for one last time…I wish all mine and your pain GODSPEED.
