BOB Posted August 19, 2006 Poetry promised to ease the pain beneath my chest protect me from the misery lurking beyond the horizon I speak of liberty when I'm trapped in the depth of poverty wrapped around its raggedy coat of uncertainty I despise sleep for the fear of its deceitful dreams I lust after the life my peers pay a hefty price to attain what is it that I gain from your daily torture & pain? punishing my trusting mind while bruising my thoughts seducing my soft heart with your imaginary treasure dragging my tired soul to the middle of nowhere while burdening my vision with the weight of your illusion words seep and cut through the fences of my brain playing the preview of the end of my marriage to life leaving my loved ones wonder what will become of my wife left me in my lonesome amongst the devil's fleet beside the temple of grief I stand with sore feet hoping my sanity wont flee even if it deserves to be free my misplaced faith in humanity let to my failure this yearning for a different legacy left me pacing like a fiend spare me the humiliation and offer me no less than jubilation play me a pleasant tune with the grace of your heavenly tone before the final chapter of my life's done and my soul is gone. Peace,Love & Unity.
UrSisterInIslam Posted September 12, 2006 Bismilah Asalamalaikum Bob -MashaAllah- that's all I got to say, some of your poems left me in tears. Such awakening to a soul that knows nothing of the mother land you speak of so fondly.

BOB Posted September 30, 2006 Mother Somalia: I gave you the best part of me without a question when by God's grace you suddenly appeared like a moon in a pitch-dark night amongst my beloved & cherished treasures I hid you hanging onto you faithfully like my long awaited destiny I never wanted my kind's hideous deeds to confine you as certain as the morning knows how to describe dew I entice my silenced tongue with your words of integrity even if your shattered parts are scattered on the walls of shame unwanted & worthless like the autumn leafs in the forest today I'm thinly guised as the swaying branch of hope in every man's eyes like unwanted ties I see pieces of you what does the bellies of darkness hold beyond my swollen heart? is it too slippery to touch or too shallow to down in? I watch as myths unfold sown into patches of dignity witness my tears of defeat boil my starving SOMALI skin will you speak of it with your innocent tongue I wonder will you acknowledge that you carry them to eternity? we're soon to unite before Almighty's eyes & become as one circled by the mighty arms of our chosen lonely path how much more will we be when we're revealed by daylight? live lies and let this morning be my last day of mourning. Peace, Love & Unity.
BOB Posted September 30, 2006 Somali Rose: A child of war you're forgotten by the universe you reside condemned to death by the masses you're born amongst your soul is blown and away it went like the northern wind imprisoned by fate and denied by times like an idle mind wiped away from the memories of those who know of kindness sheltered by fear and haunted by your own cries you hear your demise stains the sky I stare at with hopeful glare your infant limbs suffer from the heaviness of steps every step is a new dawn bound by the timing of death even breath is furlong in a home composed of memories wept the chest of your mother that offered protection remains abreast your father is only known through the holes that he left still you move like you got jewels in your step & gold in your pockets you move like history is fuelled for your heat & seems unstoppable you move like heartache is the school of your thoughts & the future is culpable and if dreams are in practical know you master your passions well hearts swell when you tell your tales the way only you can tell it when you speak your words are edged in a stone and some one tries to sell it bless me with the artistry to release the words that strangle your history for all I seek is to set your soul free with this pen I hold close to my chest. I dedicate this to Najma, a beautiful young Somali girl, May Allah s.w keep you and all your loved ones in safe & in a good health Insha Allah. Peace, Love & Unity. raula Posted October 10, 2006 "your father is only known through the holes that he left still you move like you got jewels in your step & gold in your pockets" Like the American commercial goes "the few, the proud, the MARINES" Perhaps najma is a beacon of hope in pirate land...yet we (somali's) continue to ignore our plight. BOB like always you deliver.
BOB Posted October 21, 2006 Journey To A Dream: Your presence took my soul back to the beginning of time the creation of the universe and the opening of the first egg of being I will keep you in a safe place hidden from the human eye where the walls speak and the doors have no haunting locks where the roads intersect and collisions are unknown where each throbbing tremour is listened to & children never grow old where heaven is beneath your feet & hell above in the sky I got desires I can't touch but dream to give them to you they may not be enough but they could multiply through you the borders might be rough but could be smoothed by you when the love seed as we know bitterly ran out of luck when our hope in our heavy dreams is ready to destruct when the final chapter of our end is about to erupt I would piece your legacy together had I known what whole meant if the circle came undone the drop would begin behind me every one being is an actor, know I alone cannot pretend as wise eyes know how to descend nothing but the truth with everything I got, know my blood wont deny yours.
