BOB Posted February 10, 2006 I am the beginning melody of stories told and tales forsaken i am breathing life into my own kind’s whole existence i am hidden in corner bookshelves behind men between lines i am soul searching for an ink to un-mute my voice i belong to a race that’s stripped naked and split their genes in my blood running through my veins though shame became the only animal we learned to tame don’t you trust in the belief that all that my kind do is leave everyday I mold and shape the wisdom of my ancestors birds sympathize but dare not feel pity for my people our sorrow and pain is engraved on the hills of struggle watch my people rise up and shine forever once again i am son of the soil telling stories of those who live so that I may see this day come in the cosmos we are balanced like the shape of my lady lover our souls are way up the stars but they shift on the planet's wind calm as summer seas yet furious as midnight hurricane i ask my conscience where does the joy of being "US" begin? when it limits the heart in the chest of this refugee i should take my sorrow with express train to heavens for I, like the moon need to shine by reflected light. Peace,Love & Unity.
BOB Posted February 10, 2006 Somali: They call you nomad the guardian of the soil the son of a mighty and great warrior humbled by faith and hardened by fate your dignity crawls between heaven & the earth your beauty runs soul deep like your ancient land your thoughts refreshing like a spring morning your words soothing and they caress my soul bursting with life when death is all that surround you teaching love in these seasons of deep hatred how do you survive on this lonely planet? when your number disappears and tongue goes numb feeling trapped inside the walls of famine struggling with man made poverty and diseases you’re composed from dust with diamonds dangling from your hands you dance beneath the sky in the company of the stars making the earth tremble and shake with delight praising the soil that feeds you and your kind singing the moon a lullaby before the sun rises feeding your offspring with your ancient knowledge who will memorize the tales of our forefathers you told the poems recited for and of our unique race for your day of demise is beckoning in fast pace. BOB Posted February 10, 2006 Brotherly Love: What caused this madness that detached you from reality, leaving you incapable of acknowledging I? i reach out trying to touch the soul of the brother in you leaving me cold with fear of never finding what I seek yearning for the brothers in pride we once were when a mere dream was all we had in the season of few when beside I you always stood firm for eternity if the floods of fate carried us apart to distant shores trust the blood in your veins to safely guide you home when you ask for me know that I do not stand beneath the surface or walk in single file with time ask if my arms can hold joy and share its bounty if I have eaten mango slices of passion for the love of its tempting sweetness if I lie awake to conjure new days with the heaviness of sleep in my eyes if my feet failed to lift me to the heights I dreamed of if my fingers went numb and my pen’s ink dried if I lost sight of the truth we all try to live by before my name dies with the fire in my belly ask not for less than my heart & soul for they belong to YOU first. BOB Posted February 13, 2006 Assalamu Alaikum my dear brother Baashi, LooL@Khookhaani! Bro, I went to pay a visit to my old comrade BOB aka Robert Mugabe and see if he had any farm or farms reserved just for me, so I told my old lady that I was going to take her for a vacation to Victoria Falls and leave all the kids with their headaches behind and enjoy each other's company for once and have few one on one sessions along the way for old times sake because as you know age has finally caught up with me and I am not the rock hard I once used to be when I used to drink few gallons of camel milk each night before I went to burn the fat by teaching new yoga positions to my old lady. Zimbabwe is the only country on earth where everything is "Out Of Order" including humans? have you ever seen a human wearing a sign on his neck reading "Sorry, Out Of Order"?.. to cut a long story short..my old Comrade BOB disappointed me by telling me that he thought that I was deceased in the Somali civil war and he had my name wiped out from the Club and when I lost my temper at him and threatened to tell Mandela how he fancied Garca and before that Winnie and kept their pics under his pillow,he had me thrown away from the villa and I walked from Harare all the way to Koyama because in Africa you can't hitch hike...LoooL. Brother nice to hear from you and please pass my regards to the rest of the family Insha Allah and I wish you all the best. Peace,Love & Unity.
