I'm sure of it...

that you'll be home before the leaves fall

 

Although you leave me today, you shall return

 

My laughter, smile and sweet grace

 

Will undeniably return you to My place.

 

Sure others possess these qualities

 

But it’s my charm they lack.

 

I long only for your return

 

And I’m sure you’ll be back.

 

Love doesn’t let you see the reality of things

 

So I sit near the phone awaiting your ring…

 

When the world is not on your side

 

You don’t know where to run to,

 

You don’t know where to hide.

 

All I had was your love and care

 

But that too you snatched away,

 

It really isn’t fair!
