One Life To Live.

I wrote this poem exactly a year ago but unfortunately I had to change certain words and lines and the reason I chose to post it today is because it put a smile on my face.

 

 

I only got one lifetime to live

i shall work hard to achieve

one God & his revelation to believe

i shall kneel down and ask for forgiveness

one dream & promise that I shall fulfill

in my heart's empty spaces I will fill

i am a dreamer and a firm believer

I am blessed with a mind that's far from shallow

in Allah's great lead I shall follow

another rough road that I shall cross

i must forget about the painful loss

my destiny is in my own right hand

I shall never disown my people and motherland

one long route that leads me to my fate

i hope I will get there in time and not late

adulthood is one lifetime experience i take

one moment in history that I shall make

i will rise above the disappointments in my life

learn from my mistakes and keep up the stride

someday I will make my mark and earn my stripe

I will find that elusive missing piece

so when I die I can finally rest in peace

for now I live on and I know my legacy wont get rotten

because my seed will make sure I wont be forgotten.

 

PS. i think i posted enough and i better stop before i ran out of ideas.
