I often ponder over what spawned our collective demise Rummaging through the past, it should come as no suprise Once a nation of great poets and men of integrity Now a couldron deep-seeded with deception and despise Silencing the conscience and enforcing servility Oh qabiil I ask, what is the chokehold you have on my people? The Nemesis! Generations ago bravery and skillful oratory were the key to fame Our forefathers pillaged and plundered livestock in reer hebel's name Alas! that was another era, but in this decade it ought be a shame We are abound with unscrupulous characters who are lame With no expression of sympathy, nor willing to accept blame Oh qabiil I ask, what is the chokehold you have on my people? The Enigma! Dear ancestors did you lead us to our prevailing demise? Weren't we meant to evolve mentally and grow wise? If so, why do we still bicker and squabble like nitwits? Bragging about clan lineage makes me think were dimwits Why are our minds still infertile, is it the seeds you sowed? Oh qabiil I ask, what is the chokehold you have on my people? The Bootlicking! Hedhe Faraax why do you hold qabiil in such high esteem? You relentlessly strive to put the bigot on a pedestal Has he promised you shangri-la, if and when he rules supreme? You show no resentment, let alone voicing your rejection Alas! Faraax your disoriented mind fails to fathom our situation Oh qabiil I ask, what is the chokehold you have on my people? The Crossroads! What materializes after the TNG, do we all make a beeline for home? The remnants of a nation derailed pose many an unknown I yearn to see the surreal scenery of Bar lido, but will I be free to roam? Or will I be provoked into a argument over a petty comb I own? Allah please guide us for we are still young and have not grown.
