Solace

Silence was a language

I spoke fluently

Violence was a friend

I knew too well

Loneliness was a companion

I held to dear

Pain, pain was a lesson

I was thought to bear

Love was an emotion

I was known to scorn

That is, truth be told

Until I met you

For I’ve found love

To be more valuable than Gold

I’ve found companionship

In our conversations

Solace in togetherness

Pleasure I found

In your arms, with a grin I bear

And peace, that of mind

I now hold dear

Above all else

They say;

It's better to have loved and lost

than to have not loved at all

I would rather not have loved you at all

Dear heart, were I to lose you

For without you, the only life worth living

is that of, the life lived in death.

I liked the whole poem but the reason I chose this piece has to do much with what i feel at this present moment and i would like to add (if you don't mind) "Love is Only A Four Letter Word But So Are Hell & Painâ€.

Peace, Love & Unity.
